He took his leave, Susie still trembling as she sat open-mouthed. It was Charles who broke the silence.

“What have I been telling you, my dear? You must have faith. People are in the main decent”

Ernie called back “Aye, but arseholes, pardon my French, stick in the memory longer. Pete. Where we off to now?”

“Short trips, lads, Susie. Pegasus Bridge museum and a cuppa at the café”

I am sorry for how long this took to get out. I've had a horrible couple of weeks and it's December so everything's been busy in good and bad ways. Plus this chapter was really frustrating to get right in my head and it took me ages for it to flow properly. I re-wrote it about five times before being happy with it and I'm so glad it's over and I can move on! Wah!

Chapter Two: The Road to Recovery

I was just coming around, realizing that I was flat on my back. I had just been electrocuted, why was I still alive. Then I
heard Darla scream, so I couldn't have been out for very long, bare moments. I moaned, barely audible. God, I hurt all over.

Again, how was I even alive after that shock? Guess I was just lucky! Ha, ha.

“Ohh lemme see, lemme see!” Vanessa beams with excitement as she pulls the small card from Rhonda’s fingers.

“Hey! I was still looking at it!” Rhonda looked ruefully at Vanessa.

“So where are you going first?” Sherry adds.

“Mom won’t let me drive…” I say sadly.

Sherry reaches for the card and gives it a tug. “My turn.”

“Careful! Don’t rip it!” I admonish the trio.

“It’s only a temporary, you get the real one in a month or two.” Vanessa chimes back.

“It’s okay if you call me a boy and ‘he’,” I said. “Or girl and ‘she’, either way. I’m wearing skirts for now but I think I’ll go back to pants when I stop growing and can buy stuff that will fit me long-term.”

Michelle is experiencing a sudden increase in masculine traits which greatly disturb her. She soon discovers that her loner roommate Alicia may behind the changes. Upon confronted, Alicia agrees to help Michelle end the curse but with magic it is never that simple.

Chapter 13 - David Adams spends his day in court.

“The 36th district court is now in session, the Honorable Patricia M. Jackson, presiding, silence is commanded, gentlemen please take off your hats.”

“I will have the first case, John.”

“State v. Adams, case number MFC-5769, here for trial, your honor.”

Thank you. Two years ago, a Joint Task Force consisting of the FBI, the US Department of Labor, US Department of Immigration, Customs, and Enforcement, as well as several other agencies initiated investigation after receiving information regarding several individuals, detained against their will in a small community just South of Tucson, Arizona. For the past several months, the Task Force had determined, that individuals had been transported to various other locations through out the US as part of a massive underground operation, spanning 7 states.

In one of the most improbable reunions, Carla Rhodes, who was kidnapped almost seven years ago is finally reunited with her family a day before her 21st birthday.
