Chapter 41: 347-352 CE: Colonizing the Azores

Since Christianity had taken hold of the Clan Ravn the burial practices changed. The circular burial mound of Olvris was huge, 180 feet in diameter and 19 feet high, had been fine for the honoring the Norse gods, but was considered a bit too ostentatious for Christianity. Svenn decided the mound could become a dynastic memorial for those who led Bazram.

Family members had been buried around the burial mound and that would continue, however, the successors of Olvris would be buried atop the mound. As the first successor, Bjorn would be buried on the top with a simple gravestone. When Svenn’s time came, he would be buried beside his grandfather, with future successors following suit as the grave sites wound around and down the hill. There would be more than enough room to bury centuries of successors. Svenn would also erected a huge memorial stone listing the names and lineage of those buried in and on top of the burial mound along with the dates of the birth, rule, and death. Additions would be made as needed.

That night, I lay once more with my lover, safe in our home, in my family, and tried to find the words for him. I had already walked him through my interview, but that was a doddle in comparison.

“I want in to see Lexie afterwards, love”

“How is she? I haven’t had time to pop round since she woke up”

It's taken me only a few days to realize this is what I really, really want - Scary! Exciting! Wow. But I do love being dressed up - I love it!

Chapter 10 – Rabbit joins the band

Arabella woke-up early and took Trigger outside to potty her. She had peeked into the master bedroom and found Gina and Arnold sound asleep in each other arms. Neither one was wearing any night clothes. Cadmus had looked at her and then laid back down.

“Come on Trigger, let’s go potty.” She puts Trigger’s leash on her and walks her around outside.

Nine Chapters in just over a week. I feel like Angharad when she was churning out a chapter a day. Now I just have to finish 3200 more to catch up. I wonder if Ang could check to see if there are any Dormouses (Dormice?) in Ontario: Dawn.

Chapter 8 – Moving days

“Bartender, may I have a glass of blood?” I swear I will treasure the look on their faces forever before I started giggling. “Kidding guys, I really am not a vampire and I don’t drink blood. I am kind of thirsty though. A small glass of soda water if you’re open this morning.”

The bartender hesitated before he reached under the counter, retrieved a small glass and filled it with soda water. He set it on the bar sans paper coaster.

It’s been three years.

“My bra really doesn’t fit me. Can you help me?”

I’m a fairly ordinary 22 year-old bloke – but I love to wear proper underwear. And I don’t actually mean what is labelled as ‘proper’ for men but what I enjoy. Like I said (eventually) “It’s just what I like to do. I enjoy it. It’s private."
