Tatiana folded her arms and leaned on her doorframe while Mary and Kyra stood still on her front porch.

Five years ago, David and Tatiana—or rather Adamast Cross and Princess Undercut—had gotten along very well, but had never truly befriended one another directly. It was more like they had shared in the same circle, the same family, without needing to take it any further.

Chapter Four – Tony Takes An Interest

Gangster Tony Carlotta finds Candi hiding under the desk at John Benstead's gaff where he forges documents for Tony and demands to know what she's doing there. Unable to help, John has to leave Candi to her fate. Candi has all the documents she needs to present herself to Goldwing Airlines as 'Candace Pops' and arrives at the Stewardess selection process full of trepidation, not helped by the cold and calculating demeanour of Megan DeVille, senior flight attendant, senior instructor for Goldwing's flight attendant training school and head of the selection committee.

Leslie stood close to Casey as they danced out on the dance floor. She couldn’t believe she had finally had her operation and had married Casey. Casey noticed how nervous Leslie was as she held her close to her. She places a kiss on Leslie’s cheek and leans in close to whisper in her ear.

“Stay where you are love. I’ll call for an ambulance,” said the tall man.

“Fuck off and leave me alone,” replied the woman who was obviously injured.

“Nonsense. I can see that you need medical attention. That blow to the head needs some stitches.”

“What are you a fucking doctor or something? Get the hell out of here and leave me alone.”

He laughed.
“No, you don’t understand. I’m a special constable. Just on my way home from a shift.”
