The Accidental Soprano
A Short Story
By Maryanne Peters
They said that I was fortunate that the injury did not cause lasting damage, but that was before it changed my life. I am not bitter towards the surgeons that repaired my neck. I have used surgeons since, and I am grateful to them. Surgeons have to do what they do to let us live, or to normal lives.
In this chapter, Emily navigates a week filled with challenges, moments of quiet reflection, and glimpses of connection. As she begins to find her footing in the small routines and relationships that shape her days, an unexpected turn of events forces her to confront emotions she had been holding at bay. Through it all, the steadfast support of those around her offers a glimmer of hope amidst the storm.
Lanie Saunders wants nothing more than to go to The Eras Tour, the person who is supposed to accompany her, her big brother, who is home from grad school for the summer, doesn't want to go. Alex is worried someone from high school will recognize him, and to him, there's nothing more embarrassing than being seen at a Taylor Swift concert. But Lanie has an idea: what if she casts a spell that will disguise Alex? Alex thinks the idea is silly, because magic isn't real, but he's about to get an up close and personal lesson at just how real it is -- and how magical a night at a Taylor Swift concert can be.

AUTHOR'S NOTES:
When I posted my first long TG story on here, I did not think it would be eight years before I posted another one. But here I finally am, with a story I started writing about a year ago, then tinkered with a lot over the past year. Unlike my last big story, this one focuses a lot more on the person who triggers the transformation, rather than the person who gets transformed. It also involves identity death for the person who gets transformed, so if that's not your thing, feel free to skip this one. And for those who've read "My Shallow Regret," you'll notice this story uses names that are very close to that one -- there's no connection between the characters, I just like using the names.
Also, shoutout to anyone who can use the small clues I tucked into the story to figure out where the main characters live.
The true-life story of when I confessed my crossdressing to my favorite cousin. A bit of irony, but no real drama or excitement. Sorry about that, but it was a touching moment for me, and I wanted to document and share it anyway.
Ashley reached out and grabbed Jessie's nipples and twisted them hard. She was a bit taken aback as she found his nipples to be larger and easier to grab than she had expected them to be.
"OOOWWWWWW!!!!" Jessie screamed at the top of his lungs. He buckled over in pain as he eyes immediately filled with tears. "That freaking hurt!!!" He yelled as he rubbed his aching chest and wiped away the tears as they flowed from his eyes.
"Dang, are you faking it Jessie? I didn't twist them that hard." Ashley wasn't sure what to think of his extreme reaction.
"No I'm not faking it! I told you that my chest has been super sensitive. That really hurt!"
"So we are in luck Jessie. I found some tops for you to wear under your shirts. They should fit tight so that no one can tell they are there and yet they are very soft which will help with your swollen chest. I also found you some underwear that should fit you better. Here's the fun part though...I was lucky enough to find them in matching colors. I know how you liked your old underwear to be in different, cool colors so I think you may like these," Amanda explained hoping Jessie would be fine with his new undergarments.
She knew that he did like his underwear in different cool colors meaning he liked black, grey, navy blue, and forest green. What would his take be on these softer colors? Would he accept wearing panties?
“Awesome!” Jessie proclaimed as he jumped up in down in almost a cheerleader-like fashion.
The boys finished up with Jason winning by one. He was pumped and raised his hands in victory.
“Good job!” Jessie stated as he gave Jason a kiss on the cheek. Wow! Where did that come from? It was almost second nature for him. In any case, Jason seemed to like it as his face turned red from blushing.
"Why don't you try it on yourself Jessie? If you practice on yourself you will be much better next time I need my nails done," Amanda said amusingly.
"No way mom! Only girls and sissies paint their nails. It would be the end of me if anyone saw me with pink nails," Jessie said firmly.
Amanda thought it was quite funny that Jessie had such low opinions of girls and sissies seeing that he was sitting there is a rather feminine lacy camisole with two small bumps on his chest.
Synopsis: Grandma may be dead, but she doesn't sleep, and now Terri won't either. Something in the note about avoiding a trash can, and roller blading?

In the restroom Jessie gingerly lifted his shirt. His chest was still very sensitive and his t-shirt felt like sandpaper on his nipples.
"Damn, I bruised ya pretty good on the shoulder, haha! Dude, what's wrong with your chest?" Jason was proud of the bruise he dealt Jessie, but he was fixated on Jessie's chest.
"Your nipples look freakin red and swollen. Do you have an infection or something?" Jason asked.
Jarod's femininity and beauty come to the forefront as his mother grapples with reality that her son is destined, much to her worry, to become a lovely woman some day.
I can pinpoint the day this all started. It was a chilly, Sunday afternoon in early December. A light rain was falling outside and Carol (my wife) and I had built a cozy fire in the fireplace. She was sitting on one of the couch, her legs curled up beneath her reading and sipping a glass of wine and I was sitting at the other watching the Giants begin to give away a 21 point lead to the Eagles.
Carol stood up and stretched, heading toward the kitchen.
"Get me a beer, hon'" I called after her.
"What's the magic word?," she asked with a twinkle.
Rob Wescott was unlucky when it came to love. That harmless statue that his ex sent him and he left by his bed turned out to be not so harmless when he woke the next day.
Rob, now Bobbi had to make a new life for herself. But would she continue to be unlucky in love?
George returned back to where he grew up still seeking that one place where he fits in. Never did he expect to find himself in a messy tangle of dark magics, ancient promises, and a power hungry hoodoo doctor. Just maybe if his crazed luck can just stay with him long enough, he'll finally find his place under the sun.
