I spend a lot of time on this site. I mean, a LOT. One thing I do from time to time is click through the names of active users to check out their profile pages and see what stories they have marked as favorites. I like the idea of going to the page of an author I enjoy and seeing what stories they recommend or are inspired by. Unfortunately, not many people use this feature of the site, one of my favorites.

My Apologies

My apologies. A Little Fox Tale is on a little hiatus right now because I simply have no time to write, or even get on the computer to do more than check my email daily. Shopping for and attending end of school ceremonies, preparing for my replacement at work, and preparing for my move next month is eating up all of my free time. I am hoping that things will calm down a little for the next couple of weeks before getting berserk again as moving day approaches.

You Have it all Wrong - Amy's Story Part 20 *Sneek Peek* ? maybe :)

This is what SaraUK sent me 2 days ago!

Amy was watching the clock slowly tick away the time until she could go to the private hospital that Amber was being taken to. Ann was going to call when they had her settled in to her room, then Vic and Carl were going to drive them all to see her.
“It’ll only make it go even slower you know.” Chrissy said, as she saw Amy looking at the clock again.
“I know Chrissy, but I just want to see Amber again, and tell her how sorry I am for what happened to her.” Amy said, as she lay next to Chrissy on the bed in Mandy’s room.

Those crazy japanese

Well, they've done it again! Just been watching several episodes of "Josou paradise", a Japanese show which literally translates as "Like a girl paradise", which seems to be a TV show where they set up on stage in various girl's schools and give boys the full girl makeover treatment. Bloody bonkers...

Anyhow it can be seen here :> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjdPe8kuRxQ&feature=related

I've managed to post Bike 678 tonight, however, the link to my dongle is not very good and I can't promise to get online every night. I will post as and when the vagueries of internet connections allow. Yorkshire is colder than Dorset -brrrrrrrr! I'll have to start wearing knickers again!

Whatever Next 23 -my take on the Gabyverse - has gone to Maddy Bell, so should be up in the next week or so.

Transsexual Snails

It turns out that snails, often confused with toads, are also well in advance in many scientific and social science explorations*, are prone to form male/male romantic attachments in which one partner eventually changes sex so they can settle down into normal married life with children.

Taking Down A Blog Post

I've come to the conclusion that my prior blog post, "How To Look Like A Slut," was maybe a little too off-topic. We've all seen the how-to videos on applying makeup and developing a look. This was about how to do everything "right" and end up with a low-class look, on purpose. Frankly, I thought it was uncanny, especially knowing how good Paperlilies (her YouTube name) really looks when she's not messing around imitating people, and I thought her act was spot-on and hilarious.

My name

In an IRL conversation and then in another with Sarah Lynn Morgan, I got to thinking about names, and how important it is to a person to be called by a name they've internalized. From the time most people are little, they hear their name again and again. It becomes >their< word, a very personal, emotional thing. If there is a negative feeling associated with that name (as may be the case when one has massive problems with their gender, and their name is very gender-bound to the painful gender) then the name becomes painful to hear.

Car Wreck Update

The other car wallopred the passenger side door, crumping it in, but good, and shatteriung the glass, too. Well, I was in the passenger seat, and there is a small bruise on my right side. Other than a bit of stiffness, soreness, and painI'm OH. Right now, my right shoulder is a bit tenderand taking aspirin for pain. I am LUCKY! I am near 400lb in weight, 5'4" in height, and except for medicine for high blood pressure, diet,[vitamins] and anxiety, I am trouble free. And am not allergic to stuff.

Denial

Well, my mother came into my room a few minites ago and we talked for a little bit. Then she asked me about the panties she found in my laundry.I denied it and suggested that some of her stuff got into mine. She said that she had never worn panties that large. I just brused it off and she just said that she was going to just throw them away. Good thing that I already recued mine and repaced it with a pair of hers. When she asked me if they were mine I thought I was going to be sick. The look on my face had to give me away. God, I feel like such a piece of shit for lying to her.

Women Paedophiles.

Women paedophiles are more common than we think. It's something I learned when doing counsellor training, however we never see or hear too much else about it. Then today on BBC Radio 4, Woman's Hour, there was an interesting article on it at the start of the programme, and lo and behold, at tea time some woman was arrested in Maine for child sexual abuse with her own children, which she was filming and selling via the internet. She was caught through liaison with West Midlands Police in the UK, who were investigating someone for downloading and selling child porn pictures on the net.

Font and color formatting

I've been experimenting with font formatting (Thanks to whoever edited my MayDay entry I was able to see how it works, Thank you!). I can use it fine, now, but there are a few questions I have. First is, what are all the font types that are available? I know helvetica, ariel, and comic sans ms work, but I'm not sure what else does. Also, what colors are available? I've found a lot more here, but I'm sure there are more. The other issue I've encountered is the way the html tag is entered. When I use it on stories, apostrophes (') work, but quotation marks (") don't.

Wow, thanks for the great response

I just wanted to say how shocked I was to see so many readers of my stories in less than 2 full days of having them posted. I've always been hyper-critical of anything that I've written, so it's rather surprising for them to be accepted like they appear to have been.

Thanks to all of you that have read them, thanks to all that left comments or privately emailed, and thank you especially to Gwen Brown.

Bike 10,000

I know everyone else has had more hits, but 'Bike' part 1, has this week achieved over ten thousand hits. Okay, so no one goes on to part two, let alone the other six billion episodes, but it's nice to think at least people have had a look before deciding it's total rubbish.

For those who have read it, thank you: for those who've read them all, I hope you have a good therapist?

Hugs,

Chinese Crossdressing TV Show

A Taiwan based television show called Power Sunday dressed some young guys up as sexy girls and they performed as dancers, singers and magicians. Some of the "girls" are incredibly convincing. For example, on Youtube, type in Power Sunday and go to Parts 2 and 3 for May 3, 2009. These girl/guy segments ran from early April to mid-May on the Power Sunday show. Unfortunately it's in the Chinese language so you'll miss most of the witty repartee.

Homecoming Princess Revised

At Sephy's suggestion, I had taken a look back at my first story Homecoming Princess and found it needing to be brought up to my current writing standard. I have done quite a few stories and my skills have improved since I first wrote that a few years back. I spent close to two months rewriting this in my spare time and have written this from a new perspective. I will leave that for the readers to discover.

It seems something apocalyptic is expected in the next episode--though I'm not sure why. However, I try not to disappoint my reader - John in Wwwww..wherever. So will it all end tomorrow? You'll have to look in tomorrow and see, won't you? I don't know, I haven't written it yet but Bonzi is in a funny mood, so anything could happen.

As is normal for me, i do most of my reading of stories on this great site late in the evening, so that means when i come to make comments i'm kinda tired, which explains why the following morning you'll find me busy editing out all my stupid mistakes from the previous night is it just me trying to be too perfect or do other commentors do the same?

Throw your shoe at your transgendered child.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Bank of America, Verizon, Chipotle and other companies have pulled advertising from a Sacramento radio station after talk show hosts referred to transgender people as "freaks" with mental disorders.

During a May 28 show, one of the three hosts on KRXQ's "Rob, Arnie & Dawn" show said he would hit his son with his shoe if he put on high heels. Another said he would tell a boy he was "a little idiot" if he asked to wear a dress.

I Had A Really Good Electrolysis Session Today

I had a really good session with a new Electrolygist today. She is very TG friendly and even teaches her own classes. I allow her students to work on me and she gives me a reduced rate. I got to try the latest technology in Electrolysis. It uses sixteen probes at once and the current pulses at a slower rate. It is very comfortable and I was not bothered by it much at all. The other side of my face, they used the traditional single probe. It is a cakewalk compared to Laser. It felt like someone had put 100 lit cigarettes on my face. I had tears rolling down my face.

Thank you all so much!

Thank you all so much for your kind words last night. They truly helped me through a crisis in my life. I think it is sorted out for now, but I do not expect the road ahead to be much easier. Hubby and I have some really major issues to work out and I can only hope that they work out in a way that I like and that he likes as well.

We argued for almost 18 hours last night, but we wound up sleeping in each others arms.

A large part of that is due to you folks here, and for that you have my eternal gratitude.

Thanks.

transgender, horor and mythical monsters all mixed together?

I started writing a new story, I posted the first chapter on this site and on Crystals. I am enjoying the idea and writing it. How ever I wonder if this is a good idea. I havent really recieved the feedback I had hoped for. I guess many readers dont like horror with a transgender twist in it.

On crystals, I got this review: For pity's sake, let us know it's a story about vampires so we don't waste our time. "Vampire venom?" Puhlease!

Help?

I have a fairly major problem. I'm stuck in a situation I don't know how to solve. I've spent 20 years trying to be the male my husband wants me to be, demands me to be. I've come to the point where I can't stand it anymore and I don't know what to do. He has never even let me dress up in the house, apart from anyone else, because he is so against me even trying to look female.

KittyHawk continues...

I've had several people encouraging me, or otherwise indicating they would enjoy, a sequel to my Mayday story, KittyHawk. I've played around with it some and, thanks to the many excellent suggestions made, have decided on how I'm going to continue it. I've already started and hope to have something up soon. I've already put up a title page and attached KittyHawk to it. I hope those who have expressed an interest aren't disappointed with what I've come up with.

Nasty Sinuses, We Hates Them Forever

Well, at least this time they are getting me out a dental appointment. Ax murderers behind the eyes and oozing body fluids at both ends are not a good time to go to the dentist, not to mention the choking and gagging fits. I'm going to take some pain pills and take a nap and maybe call to see my regular doctor this afternoon.

I'll be here, I'm just not firing on all cylinders.

NO more Thai BF

For months I have been crying about my hard assed Thai Boy Friend. Well, finally, he is out, gone, kaput, thrown out! Yes, he always hurt me and he kept both my hands tied up just keeping him happy, the Cur!

I have two new Boy Friends and they are soft and real to me. They are probably about as real as any BF I will ever have. OH, such love, I have for them.

Medical Professional Sensitivity Towards LGBT

I found this article about raising medical professionals' awareness and sensitivity towards gay and trans patients. On the one hand, it's encouraging that there are efforts and energies afoot to do this. On the other hand, it's sad how ignorance and discrimination can exist in the medical community, just as elsewhere. The third paragraph of the article is of particular relevance to our little community here.

I have access to this through a subscription from a free Medscape blog site for Med students entitled "The Differential" (no, I'm not a med student -- I lied when I signed up for the site.) I found copies of it adapted for other websites, so I'm going to assume its copyright is either absent or permits that. Rather than post a link that probably won't work for anyone not subscribed, I'm posting the full text here.

Major Virus or ?? problem.

I don't know what I experienced, but this afternoon, my computer got Schitzo, so I tried to scan it with Norton, and left for work while it worked. I came home 5 hours later and it was still scanning the same file.

I shut it down and restarted; had to unplug it. When it restarted everything seems normal, Norton says it updated, and I have all green lights.

Bike - 655.

Tonight's is being written as you read this. I've been marshalling on the Tour Series race at Exeter. Actually, I was selling programmes, but it helped the event, which was raising money for prostate cancer charities. The riders all 50 of them were hurtling around Exeter at far from safe speeds, there was at least one crash -but it was good spectator sport.

I've only just got home, so tonight's bike will be racing along as soon as I can write it.

My Furry Child, Brittany Passed Away Today an Obit of sorts

Brittany, passed away today. She was 1 month shy of her 19th birthday. She's been my constant companion over the years. She came to me via ex-wife when we got married. Within 24 hours of meeting, Brittany and I were friends. When my back collapse made me virtually bed-ridden for 3 years, she was always with me. She's had various health issues over the years, and I've managed to keep her going. The last 6 months have been hard as Brittany developed high blood pressure and lost her sight. She'd lost her hearing a few years ago as well.
