They're just so f'in' foolish; you'll confront them there and then...

Whatya mean, not a great guitar solo…it’s terrific…rivals even Page and Clapton.

What Have Rants Achieved For Me?
One author has 'shrouded' me.
I created great animosity between two authors who certainly didn't deserve it.
I inadvertently copied a rant to the person I was ranting about. Hurt feelings all around.
A great philosopher once said, "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they are frequently full of shit." My addendum to that is, "Be careful what you so easily release. What you think is just a bit of hot air may be far more substantive, and a lot more difficult to clean up."

I still think if someone says something hurtful, the rest should be allowed to point it out. But it's been explained to me that hurtful comments are just jokes and my replies are rants. And of course I believe what I've been told.
Am I sorry I ranted? No! I made two new very good friends, one on each side, and a third that I think will become a good friend in time.
Will I rant again? Well... But I will try to be more moderate and diplomatic.

A Rant Is Better Out Than In
A good psychiatrist (if there is such an animal) will tell you that you shouldn't bottle up your feelings. Ranting is good for the soul!
