Tigger lost?

I was a bit bored a bit earlier this week and decided to go looking for a story, any story by Tigger that caught my eye. As I looked, I started looking at dates and to my dismay saw that December 2012 was the last post of any kind by him. Has anyone seen a post by him or heard if something happened? His stories were always interesting and well written that it would be a shame to not see anything new by him.

More makeup magic

Most of us, yep that includes moi, can't afford forty or fifty dollars a week on makeup. Even the basics like eye shadow, mascara, lipstick has become expensive. We find our favorites and age and the world changes what works so we try several others seeking that which we lost, our youth. Makeup is good but it ain't that good.

Just for fun, here are some makeup magic tricks.

I've just finished reading "Painted Ladies" by P R Ellis. Even without a transgender main character, it is a good police/detective story. For those of us in this community, the transgender heroine is frosting on the cake.

Well the amount of pension I'll receive has been approved as well as the first date of payment (end of April for April, backpayment of March somewhere in May). It's around what I estimated. So good (not enough for an happy dance).

On another positive note. Due to the fact I haven't got a bachelor degree I can ask for student support which doesn't impact my pension. (which is good enough for a happy dance > going to school almost for free till I get a bachelor and Uni / College is now manageable).

Stop press!

I was watching a Television program on a guy walking around Scotland following old original tourist guides - I was so excited to see he was going to call at Thurso, the setting of a great deal of the Tamara series. Disapointed that he didnt go into the town and harbour and give a glimpse of this distant place. However, it would appear that Thurso is one of the top surfing spots in the UK, for masochists or rubber fetishists! boy does the north sea look cold. Will any of our characters be taking to a board?

New Illustration to Bridesmaid for a Friend story

Found a new version of Thomas Robbinson's Bridesmaid for Friend romantic crossdressing story on a site called Transbride. I added the story to my blog and also added a new illustration to compliment it. I'm a big fan of the tender story!

Ebook Management Tools for the Mac?

I’ve had to restart my computer, twice, when Calibre screwed up my computer and wouldn’t let me forced quit.

I need to be able to convert drm-free azw files to epub, to be able to read them on my e-reader.

I would also like to be able to convert html files to epub, for the same reason. I can easily convert them to txt, if that helps.

I would also like to be able to strip bad formatting, correct metadata, etc.

Today is a big day for me as I hit the 20 year mark. My boyfriend treated me to lunch and my Grandpa has a surprise for me tonight so I'm excited! My Grandma and Grandpa were the only ones in my family that didn't disown me when I came out. I've lived on my own since graduating High School. I lived with my grandparents from when I was 4 up until graduating high school. They supported me and I'm very grateful. School wasn't very enjoyable for me because I had no friends and I was always an outcast.

For all the women on here, let's hope you don't do what I did in the shower this morning..... I've neglected shaving my legs for a while and my legs were "moderately" hairy. I get done with one leg no problem but about halfway through the second one I cut myself with the razor and it hurt like hell(keep in mind that I had never cut myself with the razor before this morning). My boyfriend was cracking up when I came out of the bathroom with a bandage on my leg saying "Looks like someone got a bit messy I see?"

I hope I don't have to deal with that again.......

Proofreading and story obscurity

I think I'm not alone when I say that i'm not the only one who has issues with grammar. However, in writing the second installment of my story Broken Phoenix I've come to realize that I may have mistakes that I won't see by looking at it. With this being my first story I kinda feel like I have a "expectation" to uphold/Repel. By that I mean that people enjoy my story where I am now, but on the flip side with me being a rookie so to say when it comes to writing people are expecting me to screw up the story beyond repair.

I am at the age where a Colonoscopy is usually suggested. (Okay, I'm older than that but who cares) Anyway, the Booking Nurse phoned me two weeks ago to make arrangements, as my last one was five years ago. She said the earliest she could get me in was April 1st. I asked her if that was a good day, and she said "We do screening everyday but I can get you a different date if you want" I guess she had to check her sense of humour when she started work that day.

With seconds to spare (actually, there were no seconds to spare) I quickly kicked my resident throw up artist off the bed. Immediately on landing, I hear the familiar sound of last nights snack being spewed on the carpet...

I would add a picture, but I haven't figured out how to insert a picture from my iPhone into a blog entry or a comment. As a consolation prize, I offer this:

Formating error apology

My apologies to all who had trouble reading "Dumb bet" because of the excessive use of italics. When I went to format the file for posting, I messed up and put an where a should have been. The result was the rest of the story pretty much was in italics. Sorry. I use italics to denote a persons thoughts and only sparingly to add emphasis to a word. The only other time I use italics is if I insert an authors note.

Well, I'm not registered over at Whateley (on purpose) so I can't comment there. And even if I could, it wouldn't do the reader any good, due to their comment system. There is a fairly new story posted, titled "All The King's Horses", its a first generation canon story. I'm not going to spoil it for anybody, but I need to say this: For people who suffer with PTSD, this may very well push some buttons for you. It did for me. It is well written, I'll give it that.

I've finished another one

OK, I've managed to finish, and thanks to Alys9, have edited another offering for BCTS.

"Dumb Bet" is finally up. I started this story some three years ago and thanks to some gentle prodding, I picked it up again and managed to finish it. Then, I got lucky and found an editor who managed to persuade me to correct some of the errors. I'm afraid, that I did reject a few of her suggestions, so if you see anything amiss, it's all my fault.

It is well worth reading and she has plenty more stories to read in her story listings. Thank-you Melanie for the good reading.

Those of us who operate heavy equipment, farm equipment, machinery of any kind, including trucks and flying understand the possibility of death from associating with massive moving steel. Normal people take for granted the vehicle they use will operate in an acceptable manner. Growing up on a farm, I knew from a very early age when I climbed on that tractor (age 5) and daddy sent me out to the field with a plow, disk, or cultivator, that piece of machinery was lethal to everything it ran over.

Spelling

I curious about the spelling of a few terms that seem to be appearing in a few stories I have been reading.

shutter instead of shudder - "I shuddered at the creepy story"rather than "I shutter at that creepy story"
and the other one

"to do with" - some people writing "to due with."

Am I old fashioned?

I am curious on others thoughts

Well, step 2 is done so I phoned the service that actually is going the pay my pension. Lucky I got some savings but it's coming close to forcing my hand ...

So that's 3A. 3B is getting my name published again in the 'Belgische Staatsblad' (no clue for the englisch translation)with me being retired from the Civil Service, but I'm told that's only a formality

Still don't know the exact amount I'll be getting in hand :(.

The Agony and the Ecstasy (SEE Related)

Penny Lane asked what BC readers thought Garia would bring back from Earth. In response, I created a list of ten (10) movies that I would bring back if I were Garia. One of these movies was the Agony and the Esctacy (1965 staring Charlton Heston and Rex Harrison).

This movie was shown tonight (07 Mar 16) on TCM (Turner Classic Movies). After watching this movie tonight, I feel that I was correct in including this movie among the ten (10) movies that I would bring back if I were Garia.
