It was 7:45 when they arrived in St. Michaels. Krista was dropped off at the school to catch the dance. Rachel had promised to pick her and Tony up when it was over and take her home. Leroy drove the ten miles to Wells Point in fifteen minutes.

As they arrived, the SUV was swarmed by Jane, LJ, Peter, Lyndi, Teri, and the Spades. The Reeses were overwhelmed by the open acceptance and love. Holly recognized Sarah as her teacher and gave her and Frank an extra hug for helping them out.

I was still in a complete mess when it was all over. Clearly, this had been something they had been planning for a while, and as my balance returned I began to wonder what the hell they had needed to do to be able to walk into what added up to a local council building and get married.

Tanya sang, “Sittin’ on the dock of the bay, Watchin’ the tide roll away, Sittin’ on the dock of the bay, Wastin’ time.” At the moment she sang that last line she happened to look toward the door as her brother walked in the club.

She started whistling the coda melody and as she ended the song she said, “Thanks. I’m gonna take a little break, but I’ll be back in just a few.” Climbing down off the raised stage, she said, “Bobby, what’re you doing here?”

Another old story of mine. Was meant to be the first part of a longer story but most people seemed to like it as a stand alone horror piece so I left it that way.

Head adorned by a black slouch bonnet, with a large white and black ribbon arrangement, her hair shining in long curls hanging down to her shoulders.
