Robert Shannon’s penthouse was paid for by his law firm, but he held the title to it. That was one of the fringe benefits of being a Williams, Thorenson & Kettering partner and another reason that he didn’t want to return to San Diego.

First day of term, first class, gym teacher’s office.

There's a knock on the door and Tom, my best friend, enters.

-Hi Dave, is Mr Ferguson around?
- He’s already out there warming up.
- I see your little sister is taking ballet this year.

Katia has two fortnights back home near Worcester, with her parents, relaxing and trying to adjust to being a woman. She's been dealing with the effects of PTSD, but Malok has been able to help by making internal repairs to her mind, and being with her folk will help much.

CHAPTER 69
I cycled round to Alice’s place with Jim the next day, partly to see Alice, but mostly to have a word with my uncle, to see where he was headed in his mind.

CHAPTER 10

As we approached the alien ship, I got cold chills. This thing was as strange as could be. I hated to think what the ones who built this craft looked like. We were guided into the ship and docked at a port. Karen turned to me.

“OK, follow my lead.”

A short one tonight. I have to work, but this is at least an offering.

Chapter 11
Robbie hugged his mother and she cuddled him for a while. Jun had come in from visiting her friend who also lived in the condominium three floors below them.

“Hi, Momma! Hi, Robbie!”

She gave her mother and her brother a warm hug. Robbie loved Jun and she idolized him. Robbie was afraid to break the news to his sister, but decided to anyway.

“I love you Jun, you know that.”
