I'm going to use this as a place to discuss search, how to use it and what people want to use it for.
A few things:
When you use multiple words in a search, the default is to perform an OR search. Searching for curly perm will turn up both curly and perm and will list first results that have both terms.
Searches are case insensitive. Perm, perm and PERM are all the same.
Searches are made for roots, so perm, perms, permed and perming are all the same. But permanent is a different word.
A plus symbol in front of a word in a search means that word is required so curly +perm will return only results that have some form of perm in them and will prefer ones that have curly, also. +curly +perm results must have both words though not necessarily next to each other.
A minus sign means do not include the following word in results so perm -curly would return results that matched perm but would not include ones that also had curly.
Quotes around a phrase will search for an exact match, but will still ignore case. "curly perm" will match Curly perm and lots of variations but both words in that order must be present.
Comments are regarded by search as part of the post.
The sidebars allow you to restrict searches to posts that match various criteria, like type of post, audience rating or authorship. At the top right is a sidebar that allows you to control how the search indexer orders results.
When we upgrade to Drupal 7, this will all change a bit but not drastically.
You can use this thread to ask questions and make comments about search.
Against his better judgement, a man gives his wife a very feminine piece
of lingerie for their anniversary. She does not appreciate the gesture and makes
an offer that he takes her up on.
William makes a few big decisions and he needs to discuss those decisions with Kateri,
his family and a doctor. He also deals with changes at work and a surprise visit from
someone he'd hoped never to see again.
The Accidental Soprano
A Short Story
By Maryanne Peters
They said that I was fortunate that the injury did not cause lasting damage, but that was before it changed my life. I am not bitter towards the surgeons that repaired my neck. I have used surgeons since, and I am grateful to them. Surgeons have to do what they do to let us live, or to normal lives.
If healing meant changing genders and also species, would you? And how about protecting this new found technology? This gender-bending sci-fi tale takes you to strange worlds as those transformed protect their new people from destructive humans.

The long term finally came to an end and we prepared for Christmas. The school social was a much quieter affair this time around and they had booked a normal band. Okemia and her parents had gone away for a few days and didn’t attend and Aiko and I ended up dancing with several boys from the fifth year that she had made friends with and I had a good time.

It
had been a rough week. The kids in the high school didn't know how to
react to the death of two fellow students. Vic hadn't been a great
friend to anyone, but Michelle had been liked. She hung with the same
crowd Vic did, but people respected her ability in music.
CHAPTER 102
As the weeks dragged by in their usual seasonal misery, I found my worry about Diane’s resilience increasing steadily. She called me at home one evening, suggesting a meal out, and it took the verbal equivalent of a kick up her backside before she mentioned Frank.
We sparred a little, and in the end agreed that if it was just going to be her and her little boy, we could meet up at an Italian place near hers. I just knew that it would mean a grilling, so my devious mind pulled a favour from Charlie.
Most often people talk about being in the right place at the right time. Maybe they achieved a beautiful photo of a sunrise, or the antics of children or animals. Maybe they found something someone lost and received a big reward when it was returned. But how often do they talk about being in the wrong place at the right time? If they do, it’s often about the death of someone or maybe witnessing a crime. And if this is the case, they are sad or horrified. Walter Williams often is in the wrong place at the right time, though his reaction to the incidents he encounters is much different than anyone would expect. And, life-changing.
Two days after arriving back on the outskirts of Preston, I began my journey south to Oxford and the wedding. It all began with a taxi ride from where Roxy was moored, into Preston and then two trains. The first took me to Wolverhampton and the second to Oxford. The ticket inspector on the train from Preston kindly suggested that I change trains either at Wolverhampton or Birmingham International rather than at Birmingham New St. Little tips like this make travelling a whole lot easier and for that, I was very thankful.
It took a few minutes before Steve or the rest of us said anything.
Steve’s only comment was, “Spencer, my friend, that was heart heavy.”
He then closed his eyes for a moment, nodded twice and then looked up to see another of the young men raise their hand.
This man had the look of rings under his eyes like he was ready to rip his heart out at any second.

“Bye, kids!” Julia watches as her children exit from her patrol vehicle and heads towards their friends.
“Bye, mom.” Haylee waves goodbye to Julia.
Chayton waves goodbye to Julia as well. He spotted the other members of the school’s basketball team standing around. He recently joined the basketball team and was one of their star players. His grandfather had turned the tennis court into a basketball court for him to practice.
When he was having problems with his shots, Julia came out and practice with him. She uses to play when she went to school.

Ian and Brice
Chapter 3 (Ian)
Copyright 2021 by Heather Rose Brown
In this chapter Ian reaches out to an old friend, barely avoids having another flashback, then has some of his anxiety put at ease in an unexpected way. When some of Ian's stress begins to fade, he senses something from one of his caregivers he'd almost given up hope of ever experiencing again.

Just before the end of the term I had a text from Naozumi asking if I could come to Tokyo for a meeting or two, in regard to my choreographic work. One Monday I was back on the bullet train, with Aiko and my mother who were not missing out this time. With me now at fifteen and my sister sixteen, my mother intended to hit the shops with us and spend some of the money I had earned last year.
Gina’s Hotel Room, Courtyard by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center:
Arnold looks at Gina as she laid in bed. He had woken up early to work on a case he brought with him. He also had a meeting at the Justice
Department. He was still amazed at what happened to the Golden Eagle Squad and how they were able to pass as normal-looking people.
In 2010 Maggie, Nancy Cole and I were all busy writing about stories about strong female characters. For Maggie it was her wonderful Maiden by Decree. Nancy and I had just finished Legend of Alfhildr, following on from The Frozen Balance.
We often chatted and shared ideas when one day, a humorous idea occurred; why don't we write something with all three of our heroines as a bit of a spoof?
CHAPTER 101
Two days later, I got the call from Rosie, and of course it came while I was up to my eyeballs. Nita had rung, and for the first time in ages it hadn’t been a social call but a new referral. I was in the van with Faye, fourteen, yet another who had been pursued on the internet after trying to build a new profile for herself. I picked her up at Nita’s office, which saved a lot of crap, Rosie’s call arriving just as I parked up there.
