Against his better judgement, a man gives his wife a very feminine piece
of lingerie for their anniversary. She does not appreciate the gesture and makes
an offer that he takes her up on.
The next story I'm going to share with you was told to me by Junior Scoutmaster Emma Jeanette Pierce. I'm also going to confess I went a little overboard with the name of the story. I don't apologize for it at all though, mostly because it conjures up perfectly the vibe I want to capture with these stories.
The Ghostly Dancer at the Annual Cotillion Ball
Told By
Emma Jeanette Pierce
Erica awoke slowly, stretching her body and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Next to her, Faith lay sleeping. The room had an odd quality to it as she unwrapped herself from Faith's warm clinginess. Sitting up, she dropped her feet into the slippers that Faith had given her the night before. Crossing the floor toward the window in her borrowed nightgown, she'd finally noticed that the howling wind had subsided leaving an eerie silence to sit over the house. She'd become so accustomed to the howl of the storm, its absence left a void in the perceptions of her surroundings. Peaking out the window, Erica saw something she'd never seen before. Awestruck, she stood in wonderment at the beauty of the sight before her.
Holly Grove Private School, Christmas Classroom:
Christmas had her back to the class as she wrote some notes on the whiteboards. As she is writing the information on the whiteboard. There is a knock on her classroom door. She looks at who it was and noticed it was assistant principal Thorton.
“Excuse me, class.” Christmas puts her marker down and walks out into the hallway.
“What can I do for you, Mr. Thorton?” Christmas was wondering why he was in her class.
Simon McKenzie started his week normal enough, but after a series of events he now finds himself standing in a bar wearing a cocktail dress. Chapter 4.
Meeting Hannah wasn't as difficult as I worried it would be. I knew what school she was going to so I just waited with the other parents for the usual school pick up. I called out 'Jannah' which was the first keyword to get her attention. She was met by two bodyguards and I had to wait for her to convince them before she could approach.
Hannah had explained to me how telepaths normally talked to each other. It was essentially a version of shouting and listening, so I set my telepathic mind division to listening to her mind and mentally shouted 'Hello'
Despite growing up knowing about the Paranormal and seeing a world that normal people would never see, Seth was as close to a normal human as you could get. Everything would change on the day his father died and his life would never be the same again.
“Yeah, I’m expecting a hell of a lecture from Mom about that,” I replied with a sigh.
“Now for the clean-up” I said. Lance was about to burst so I put a finger to his lips and whispered “We cannot let them report to Melehan. They all have to disappear.” Merilyn said “They have been shocked but one has suggested ringing the boss.”
Kelly and I were greeted with smiling faces upon our return from Honeymoon. Their collective smiles soon disappeared when I told them that I wasn't going to stand for re-election that November. Their level of disappointment increased when Kelly said that she would also be leaving the department when a replacement had been found and introduced to the job.
Simon McKenzie started his week normal enough, but after a series of events he now finds himself standing in a bar wearing a cocktail dress. Chapter 3.
Stepping through the door to the right of the old grandfather clock in the living room, Erica walked into the library. Its dark interior illuminated only by the little light that managed to seep its way past the heavy curtains that covered the room's single massive window, she followed her aunt to the right; rows of bookshelves jutting out from the wall opposite the door.
After an unexpected feast the women gather in their chamber,
where Ursula tries to explain her origins to Kaldara. Later she wonders about the day's events.
While I managed to keep myself relatively safe most of the time when I was growing up, there were only a few places and times when I felt completely safe. Below is a tiny vignette about one of them.
Shannon O'Reilly was bullied and everything his older sister wasn't. When his sister Sarah gives him a chance to change things through a single wish things don't go as planned.

Rebecca rolled her eyes and groaned before asking in a tone heavily laden with sarcasm, “And how do we know that, Professor?”
Author note:
In Chapter 30 there are unpleasant scenes referring to child abuse, but the details are not mentioned to keep only the idea present. It is about rescuing them, rather than the event and dealing punishment to the perps. If this is something you don't want to read I completely understand and I would suggest you skip the chapter. Why is it there? Because I would love a world where someone was able to stop it and punish the offenders.
Sam pulled away, he went into the living room to answer his phone. Michelle carried on with the washing up. She tried to be quite to here who Sam was talking to.
"Oh, Hi darling,. What gives me the honor of a call from you."
It was a girl! Michelle stopped washing up and moved to the door the listen.

Once in the relative privacy behind the curtain Stephanie addressed Victor in a hushed voice. “Now the best thing you can do for you and me is to just play along. Trust me, my stepmommy can make things so much worse.” She lisped badly as a warning, clearly afraid. She really wanted to help Victor, but telling him to be obedient was the best advice she could give. She simply didn’t know any better anymore.
