In this chapter, Emily finds herself thrust into the cold, unyielding environment of a police station, the weight of her actions pressing down on her with every step. The harsh fluorescent lights and the relentless questions amplify her fear, leaving her wondering what comes next. But just when the walls feel like they’re closing in, Emily’s world takes an unexpected turn.
A suitor and a trip to the doctor's office keep Stevie on edge. Once again, I am
a wordy writer, so only read if words are something you enjoy. Also, if you complain
that you don't understand a character's motivation while also admitting you skipped
parts of the story, then... never mind.
I hope you're all remaining well. These are such stressful times. God bless.
The Harper estate, Golden Bluffs, is a living museum on Mansion Row in Newport,
Rhode Island. Once the home of the most important chronicler of The Gilded Age,
Louisa Harper, the museum offers glimpses into Louisa's daily life in 1890.
The staff portray members of the family and staff.
Unexpectedly, a new Louisa is needed...
The continuing adventures of Doug Gordon, Queen of Ka'an. (Ka'an in Mayan means Heaven.) Ka'an is actually an alien world populated by women... and a man-eating plant. Well, it is actually male-eating plants that spit out females. Doug and his wives fixed everything, but now Doug must remake a planet... and it seems Ka'an will be remade in his image!
Dedicated with love to "Kitten" 'MO' you know who you are!
This is a story of a child most nobody wanted! Not his Father, nor siblings. A child that in all rights, should have died at birth. The only thing that kept him alive was his Mother's love, the friendship of his sister Patty, and the love from the Sisters at his school and church. Most of you will not like this story because it contains humiliation, diapers(but not in a sexual way), and yes the reference to God our creator and Jesus our Savior. Most of you won't like this story because it makes you uncomfortable. But when I read it, all I can say is: “There but for the grace of god go I.” And then I cry with a sadness in my heart, for the way we as human beings treat everything that we don't or will not understand because it does, make us uncomfortable. I got sent this the other day by my friend Anne. Unusually for her she was reticent to post it; she is usually quite straightforward about such things. Knowing the bare outlines of what likely inspired it I was touched and slightly troubled. A close friend of hers is fighting breast cancer, hopefully to win as best she can.
This was inspired, if that's the word, by the waiting… in an anteroom of an oncology ward. A place where courage is simple, yet beyond what most, fortunately, will ever need to approach.
It was Alice Carter’s birthday: fortysomething. She sat in her favorite easy chair, a drink in hand, and thought back on her life. Birthdays are the time one takes stock.
However a nurse came in and coughed politely, "Sorry to interrupt, but no sex until after I've done your blood pressure."

part 111.
Stella and I had nodded off to sleep when the nurse came in to tell us that Simon was out of theatre. I jumped out of the chair, for a moment not aware of where I was. Stella lazily opened her eyes and yawned.
This story takes place roughly half a year before Ikarus. It's about inadvertendly stumbling across a line you never thought you'd cross, even though you were steaming towards it all the time at full speed.
Comments are more than welcome.
I’m starting to feel like Angharad here. A story that was supposed to be over and done in four chapters has suddenly doubled in size or will have by the time it’s done, possibly bigger than that even.
Anyhow, it’s put extra demands on Krissikins and for that I’m sorry and profoundly grateful all at the same time. Who says men can’t multitask?

part 110.
I switched on the torch and shone it on Simon's groaning body. I saw the blood and I screamed and screamed. Then as if someone had slapped me, I came to my senses. Now was not the time for these hysterics, I could do that once he was in hospital.
“You know you cannot drive without a driver license,” screamed the nicely dressed non-intoxicated policeman.
“Sure I can. I put something in this here hole next to the wheel that the nicely dressed intoxicated gentleman uses to stir things with and I put this thang here in “R”, get my book about Dick and Jane and Spot and put my foot on that thang down there and the car goes, but there is always that there tree in the way.”

part 108. (That's like 9 dozen!)
I awoke with in a sweat, it was about two in the morning. Dashing downstairs, I caught my toe on a door frame and hobbled about, eyes watering and my mouth cussing the stupid frame for being there - if it wasn't the door would fall off, but that's not relevant to your entertainment.
I was crying. I could no longer speak. All I could do was cry my heart out over the loss of my life, my dreams, my friend, everything. All the intrigue, all the danger, all the running, and fighting, and everything else from the last few weeks just came rushing in on me all at once, and all I could do was cry.
“What the hell can I do, Jerry?” I tried to continue through my tears. “I'm so tired of all this. I just wanna go back and be me again!
Samantha wiped the tears on the back of her hand and slowly got up. “Why do you all hate me so much?” she whined.
“They don’t hate you, Samantha.” Rachel sighed. “We are just upset that you used Erika in the way that you did last night. You knew that she’s not attracted to guys and you still pushed her to go on that date with Josh, hoping that he would notice you instead.”
A hightech bodysuit allows Jimmy to experience being a Headlights Girl! It's fun, it's profitable and it's a complete change of lifestyle that anyone could enjoy - even you!
From the time Taylor was five, all he could remember was wanting to be Emma’s younger sister.
He loved dressing up in her hand-me-downs. He admired his older sister and really wanted to be her. Halloween was his favorite holiday because he could let his fantasies run wild and be Cinderella or Wonder Woman. And playing make-believe was always fun when he could be the cute little girl.
But, something happened when he turned twelve. He put away the dresses and costumes. The doll house went up in the attic and Taylor’s fantasies were all in his mind.
Until one fateful Saturday that changed everything. This is that story.
