Chapter 4

Fractal stretched as she walked down the hall. She was surprised at how quickly something new became uncomfortable. Back in her old world, airplanes were not something anybody used anymore. And, if those seats were as uncomfortable as those in this world, she could see why they wasn’t in use.

Word finally arrived from my people who had been detailed to protect James. Of the six that were there at the time, two were okay and four were dead from whatever it was that was in those little darts the perps had been shooting.

CHAPTER 20 – Do You Remember

In autumn the temperatures stay warm in Southern California so I lay in bed wearing just my chemise reflecting on events.

So... we've finally reached the end of this story. Barbie and I want to thank everyone who read, commented on and/or kudoed the story. We have both been very gratified to see that a lot of you enjoyed it and stuck with it to the end. There is some mild violence in this part but it's crucial to the plot and the story and will explain further what and who was behind Barbara's transformation and the reasons for it.
