The Last Question

Dorothy was shown into the office by a handsome man, and she found herself struggling to hold back a blush.

She sat down across from his boss, who had to be one of the most beautiful women she had ever seen in her life, and a flash of envy went through her before she remembered.

Like Dorothy, she started off as a male, but her ... transformation was far from her idea ...

“How can I help you?” The woman asked.

“I ... need your help. I am transitioning, as you can probably tell. All I have left to do is legally change my name and get the surgery, but I have one issue to deal with first. You see, when I was young I was ... abused by a child psychologist. He ... turned me into little more than a toy, and it lasted for two and half years.”

“But what can I do? I ... am not really in the vengeance business anymore. “

“Its not vengeance I need. I need a simple question answered before I do the surgery. The question is did he ... program me to want to be a woman? I understand you have experts in the field of brainwashing, so I am really hoping you can help me. Before I do something permanent.”

“I’ll see what I can do.”

Dorothy thanked her, and took her leave.

Days past, and then she was called back, and submitted to a deep hypnotic trance to learn what could be learned

Once her session was over, Dorothy went back to her motel room to wait for some results.

It was the next morning that she was summoned back to the office for a conversation with the woman once more.

The woman had a tired smile on her face, which Dorothy took as a hopeful sign, and she said, “So ... good news?”

“Mixed news. The bad news is what he did to you was horrific, and I am truly sorry it happened. If he was still alive, I would consider giving him some ... attention. However, the good news is that your femininity pre-dates your assault. You were always a girl, nothing he did changed that.”

Dorothy breathed a sigh of relief, thanked the woman, and left the office, unaware of an argument that took place after she left ...

The young man who had ushered her in sat on the edge of the desk, and said, “Why did you tell her that? I thought the results of her session were ... inconclusive, at best.”

“Because knowing that she might never know the truth wouldn’t do her any good. She would still feel like she feels, whether she was ... induced to feel that way or not. And unlike my programming, there was no way to change that. So she might as well feel confident, and have as happy a life as possible. Considering what she’d been through, its not asking all that much.”

“Never thought I would see you as a healer. Its ... a good look for you.”

“Maybe its a look I can use more often then.”

Dottie, Please Don't Worry

I don't know that much. Drea has more contact with abuse survivors, but I've been interested in TSality for 23+ years.

Child abuse is horrible, but it's obviously happened to so many kids, millions maybe. Being TS is caused by feminization of the brain beginning in the first trimester. Being TS also happens around the world in all cultures. Being molested might make girls stay away from men, but I think wimyn's sexuality is more flexible, eg. a large % of wimyn in prison form loving couples. I just guess that more wimyn are born somewhat bisexual. Boys being molested doesn't make them gay. It might be possible that boys giving off a hint of gayness and Tkids might be more attractive to pedophiles, but I've never seen that demonstrated by studies, etc.

You had really messed up, hurtful things happen to you, but I don't see how those things could effect your sexuality or your gender ID. If you are worried about attractions to men, think of it this way: You have a womyn's brain, you weren't solely attracted to men so you could be bi. I think estrogen makes a Tgal's brain (and any womyn's brain) feel that men are more attractive; it happened to me. That's almost certainly not from your abuse.

Dottie's beautiful, involuntary Tgal seems a lot like Stark, by Randalynn.

Hugs and Bright Blessings,
Renee

oh rats, I thought nobody would notice that ...

giggles.

As for not worrying about my gender issues, I don't know if I will ever be totally worry-free on the subject. But there seems to be enough stories of me acting girly before he got a hold of me to suggest that my problems in that area would have existed even if I had not had him to deal with ...

Order The Pieces, Put Them Back

I think what we have to beware of here are generalisations. Renee's analysis seems very convincing, and until someone comes up with empirical evidence to refute her conclusions I'm tempted to agree with them.

Yet we as humans are a strange species. Our brains are so complex that the awareness they've evolved can successfully compete with our instinctive urges, often with wildly unpredictable results. For every teenage kid who's motivated to kill someone because of a game he once played there are millions who aren't. For every child who's been abused and gone on to have serious psychological problems there must be many who've overcome them.

Of course this depends on the nature of the abuse. Each individual case will be different. What is bearable to one person will be intolerable to another.

All I can offer to those victims is sympathy. I wish I could give more, but I've never walked in those shoes and for that I'll always be thankful.

With every piece you write, Dorothy, I come a little closer to understanding what makes you feel as you do. I hope it's beneficial to you too.

This is a lovely song. Gabriel-era Genesis. Though it might be Phil Collins on lead vocal here...

Came the night, a mist dissolved the trees
And in the broken light colours fly, fading by.
Pale and cold as figures fill the glade
Grey is the web they spin, on and on, and on and on...
Through the flame still summer lingers on
Though her pictures soon shatter

All, always the same
But there appears in the shades of dawning,
Though your eyes are dim,
All of the pieces in the sky

There was once a harvest in this land
Reaped from the turquoise sky, harlequin, harlequin,
Dancing round, three children fill the glade,
Theirs was the laughter in the winding stream, and in between
Close your door, the picture fades again
From the flames in the firelight

All, always the same,
But there appears in the shades of dawning,
Though your eyes are dim,
All of the pieces in the sky

All, all is not lost,
And light appears in the shades of dawning
When your eyes can see
Order the pieces, put them back, put them back

Ban nothing. Question everything.

thanks, Nicki

I think its helpful to get this stuff out. It sure beats trying to hold it all in ...

I can't believe no one noticed

RobertaME's picture

...or at very least didn't comment that this would seem to be a Randalynn Stark tale. At least to me it's obvious. Woman in charge who was forced to become a woman against his will, above average looks, used to be in the vengeance business, used to have psychological programming that was overcome...

If I'm wrong, just say the word! Otherwise I think it's a very tight and well done story that fits in with the Stark universe.

I also understand where you're coming from in this. I cannot fathom the strength of will you must have to endure that sort of atrocity and still not only come out of it sane but so loving and beautiful a woman!

Hugs!

My mystery women is based on Stark

The Stark stories had a profound impact, and I wanted to make some kind of tribute.

and who says I'm sane? (Makes Daffy Duck whooping noises)
