Roland and DiMaggio present...

Another look at life here in the closet by those two zanies (actually one zany and one fairly reasonable girl; you can guess whom.) Dedicated to the vigilance of service from the folks who keep this place running, aye? And dedicated to perhaps the only man I would ever want to marry, Danny Kaye.

Drea is curious about recent problems on the site. Kristy explains how things will work in yet another overhaul of the site…

Drea: The data will go through a server in Decatur, Georgia?

Kristy: That's right. The data in Decatur is processed by a server called Minerva. And we'll also be testing out new coding from a firm based in Kentucky.

Drea: The data from Decatur will be run by some coding from Kentucky?

Kristy: Yep, Coding from Kentucky. And we have to be careful. There's a new virus out that will dramatically affect the site.

Drea: What's it called?

Kristy: Osiris

Drea: Osiris?

Drea: Are you telling me that the data from Decatur could be spoiled?

Kristy: Yes. From a virus...

Drea: Called Osiris?

Kristy: Yes...

Drea: Will the site be able to prevent any problems?

Kristy: Of course. We've gotten some new protection... from a firm in Parma, Italy. It's called Armor.

Drea: The Armor from Parma?

Kristy: Yes.

Drea: Let me get this straight. You're saying that we're at risk because of a virus called Osiris?

Kristy: Yes.

Drea: And it could mess up the data from Decatur?

Kristy: (Kristy answers cell phone) Yes...what's that? Oh dear.

Drea: What?

Kristy: The Armor from Parma has some licensing issues; we won't be able to run it after all.

Drea: That's scary. So you pay for protection and you can't use it?

Kristy: The Armor from Parma...that's right.

Drea: How will you protect the data from Decatur?

Kristy: We have some backup virus protection provided by the server.

Drea: The server called Minerva?

Kristy: Yes. It's easy to remember. The data from Decatur is safe with the server called Minerva.

Drea: And the coding is from Parma?

Kristy: No...The coding is from Kentucky; the Armor is from Parma.

Drea: And the virus won't affect Osiris?

Kristy: No... The virus is Osiris. The data is from Decatur...

Drea: You've lost me.

Kristy: It's really simple. (another phone call) What? Oh no, the server is down; we'll have to go to another backup.

Drea: Another Server?

Kristy: Yes, from Vancouver, British Columbia

Drea: The server called Minerva?

Kristy: No…the server called Minerva is down. The data from Decatur will be handled by the server from Vancouver.

Drea: And the Armor from Parma will protect it?

Kristy: No...The Armor from Parma was lax in its license, so we'll be operating using protection from a firm in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

Drea: The protection from Prince Rupert? What about the coding from Decatur?

Kristy: You seem confused. Okay...the data from Decatur is handled by the coding from Kentucky.

Drea: And the data from Decatur is protected by the Armor from Parma?

Kristy: No, No. The Armor from Parma was lax in its license but the protection from Prince Rupert will spot any spam.

Drea: Any spam?

Kristy: Any spam.

Drea: And will it protect the coding from Kentucky?

Kristy: Yes.

Drea: What about the server called Minerva?

Kristy: What about it.

Drea: Will it be protected from the virus called Osiris?

Kristy: No. The server called Minerva had problem with its power so the data from Decatur will be routed through the server from Vancouver.

Drea: It's all so confusing.

Kristy: Here... it's actually all so easy. The Armor from Parma was lax in its license but the protection from Prince Rupert has the license that is true.

Drea: Now I'm completely lost.

Kristy: Here. The coding from Kentucky is run through the server from Vancouver

Drea: Vancouver?

Kristy: Yes…The protection from Prince Rupert will keep the site safe.

Drea: From the Armor from Parma?

Kristy: No. The Armor from Parma was lax in its license so we can't use it to fight off the virus called Osiris.

Drea: Osiris?

Kristy: The virus...yes. Now you've got it.

Drea: Got what?

Kristy: The data from Decatur is run by the coding from Kentucky and the protection from Prince Rupert has the license that is true.

Drea: And what about the stories?

Kristy: The creations from the Closet?

Drea: Yes ... I think.

Kristy: The creations from the Closet are safe from the virus called Osiris.

Drea: And what about the coding from Decatur?

Kristy: No...The coding is from Kentucky; the data is from Decatur.

Drea: I think this is where I came in.

Kristy: The coding from Kentucky for the data from Decatur is safe from the virus called Osiris because the protection from Prince Rupert works best for the server from Vancouver

Drea: For the creations from the Closet?

Kristy: Yes.

Thank you to all the diligent folk who keep this place as a home for stories and a haven for us all!
This has been a Movin’Dirt Production. This is Bobbie C. speaking!

This is based on the classic “Pellet with the Poison” routine in The Court Jester, starring Danny Kaye and written by Norman Panama and Melvin Franck
