I know it's only a couple of days since my last post/blog. But my daughter (Eldest) should avoid me if she wants to see Christmas. We had a parent-teacher meeting at school. Generally she's really doing pretty well in school. She reads well and considering she was held back a year I'm proud of her. Due to the time of her birthday and the UK education system. While in her first school she had to repeat her last year. Her teacher at that school was amazing and he kept her busy. Helping any class members who were struggling.

Well I've had an unexpected chance to get online this afternoon before I leave for my trip so you lucky people can read the second installation of the 14th Gaby book right here

Originally I had planned on releasing "Old friend, New love" in weekly chapters. To enter it in Christmas contest, I started with daily releases. Reader feedback say's this is too frequent. I tend to agree, though one reason I love Bike is knowing there is a new chapter each day (not so much anymore). So I am changing to Mon, Wed, Fri, releases. (pending RL issues of course).

I know that comments about the Daily Mail newspaper tend to be somewhat non-supportive, however I feel that the article featuring India Willoughby (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3997244/We-changin...) is helpful.

Has any body has any news about Ellen Hayes the author of The Saga of Tuck?

Peace and Love tmf

I have started to post a new series, "Old Friend, New Love". I thought I had posted as a novel chapter, but it didn't appear that way. From comments, some have interpreted this to be a (very incomplete) solo. It is my intention to post a chapter (or more, as in the 1st installment, when the chapters are short) each day until done. The part of the story I am releasing for the contest, is done (though open to further editing). I hope you enjoy it. Comments and PM's are welcome (and may be used to determine if I write more or crawl back into my closet).

I came across a story long ago in which due to some kind of punishment two friends have to attend a prom as a punishment.
The one who has to o as a girl whines a lot about being him as the girl of the two and the other of course as a boy. The mother of the "girl" assures "her" that this is also a punishment for "her" friend as he has to endure the embarrassment if it was found out that he has attended the prom with a boy and not a girl. Thanks in advance.

Great! I think that I've had about the worst day of my life. Karen, my young sister in law visited this afternoon. I have to tell you that I love this girl to death. But certain situations, cause and effect created a bad afternoon. Let me explain something first. My twin girls are three years old and are in the last stages of potty training. What that means is that we still have more accidents than I like. My youngest is still in diapers. The twins are now wearing pull-ups and on the whole, that sets the scene.

Advent Sunday, the first day of the Christmas story is upon us and my gift to you is some reading matter.

On this US Thanksgiving holiday, I'd like to say Thank You to all who have contributed to this site.

Especially I'd like to thank the authors who endure criticism of their work. It takes courage, more courage than some can imagine, to make one's creative work available to critics.

Smart, really really smart. Tossing a real gotchu out there for the lead to the next story. That particular blurb on the back cover of the book would be one of the best "teasers" I have read in a long long time. I'm hard pressed to remember anyone I've ever read that was any better. What kind of demographic readers would that one NOT pull in to open the book and start scanning in interest? Probably better than twenty percent of those who picked up the novel would buy the book. An unbelievable high percentage among book shoppers.

So its been a little damp on this rock this week, 'Angus' doing his best to drown half the population and wash away the rest!

It does mean that I've not been tempted much beyond my front door for a few days which in turn means my editor has taken delivery of more new Gaby than I had anticipated, the first 6 of the new book are complete. This in turn means that with a following wind the first complete arc may be made available on Sunday! I've written so fast I don't even have a title yet.

I'm looking for a story I read ages ago was about a ex space corp marine who's planet was attacked by space pirates, and thinking his family was killed he went looking for revenge. He was captured by pirates and put in a medical pod, an changed to a female, a cple things happened and the pirates were put in some and ended up being turned into young girls, who saw the older women as their mum. I remember that her sister was alive and she hired a governess who ended up opening a school. But that's about all I can remember I just don't know what it's called.

I find it disturbing that major contributors like Angharad and Efindumb are choosing to stop posting. When a volunteer organization, starts burning out it's best workers, the end is generally not far away. This does not bode well for BC.

I was lucky enough to see Your Name at the cinema this weekend. For those who aren't familiar with the movie. It is an Japanese animated movie about a teenage boy and girl who have never met but somehow start swapping bodies.

As the more observant of you will have spotted Amazon have started an 'on demand' print service. I'm in the process of making all the Gaby series available, the Nena books are already up.

Amazingly there have been some hard copy sales already, so my query is, if you have bought an Amazon print book what do you think of them?

Whilst this isn't intended as a sales plug I would just like to remind you that if you are buying anything on Amazon if you log in through BC this site gets a 'royalty' - Gaby sales last month put $50 in the coffers in this way.

On this, Remembrance Sunday I always find it difficult to watch the old soldiers on their march past the Cenotaph, it is they, not the politicians, who lay everything on the line for our freedom. They didn't all volunteer but they all played their part, today we honour them.

Mike Austin, aka Jamie Austin, passed away this week after a lengthy illness. Jamie was a makeover artist, a very good one actually, and I post this simply because there are probably males here that Jamie worked her magic on and were unaware of her death. I was fortunate enough to attend several Southern Comfort Converences and similar events, and somehow was able to get an appointment with her at a couple of them. Before her health began failing several years ago, her shop was in a barn near Glamour Boutique in Boston.

A theme here is the triangle of depression, eroticism, spirituality. The world lost someone who expressed it well.

I couldn't really see a niche for this. But I'm not sure about most people. But, I'll be pleased when this is all over. Luckily living in the UK I've not had the same problem as most of my Countrymen. My Mother-In-Law bless her, I so love that lady. Said well thankfully it doesn't really concern us meaning Brits. But like I said well as our closest ally, I don't care what anyone thinks, we are close allies. It means a great deal to the UK who wins.

I just wrote a six paragraph comment, took me a good 15-20 minutes and several tissues. Rechecked and ready to go, I hit Preview. What I got back was that damn 503 error. When everything came back it goes without saying (but I'm going to) my piece was gone. As I wrote it from the heart and in the right mood I know I won't be able to rewrite it.

It was just after midnight CST, and if my memory serves me correctly it happened at about the same time a couple of days ago.
Is there a set time for this to happen?

I have never posted a blog entry in my life. Never. I have always thought of it as being a bit egoistical and self-serving to be honest.

But damn it, I am hurt, angry and mourning over the death of this cat, who granted was not mine, but my neighbor's outdoor cat who adopted me as his own.
