I sort of purged today, but in a good way :-)

While on a fruitless search to figure out what I've done with my digital audio recorder, I started to run across stuff I've been holding onto for absolutely no reason. Most of it was just useless junk not even worth mentioning, but it eventually turned into spring cleaning. And then I noticed my old "I'm just a crossdresser, really!" stash.

Failure again

It seems I'm not going to finish in time for Short Story Month. I have only about 80% of a story done, and still no idea for an ending.

Oh well.

I think I'll steer clear of story challenges for a while and concentrate on Stephanie. (Episode 24 is about halfway completed at the moment, and both of my readers deserve a better update schedule.)

COGIATI TEST

Well I got curious after Steph (Cyclist) mentioned the Gogiati test in one of her replies so I googled it and took the test.

I scored -50 That is Androgyne 3 and that is eeerily close to my mind set at the moment.
It recommends that I don't go for anything radical and indeed I never had any intentions of doing so. I am happy with my little boy bits and never felt the need to go 'whole hog' for SRS.

Back in a big way. . .I hope

I've just finished episode 9 of 12-String. . .but you may notice I haven't posted it yet. I now have a proofreader who has already helped me improve the content of episode 9 and so we will have to see how it progresses from here.

I had a second offer of proofing come in today, so I'm going to be starting on a couple of 12-String related side projects.

The first will be a complete revision of the existing episodes for continuity and general clarity. As soon as that's done, Ill be starting on Dichotomy, which will star Ethan before she became Gretchen.

Applied for a job as Dorothy

Well, I just got back from dropping off a resume with a call center as Dorothy. Not only that, but I dropped in at my current work as Dorothy, and said hello to everyone. Thanks to having been talking about this for the last while, nobody seem shocked. One of my co-workers even called me Dorothy. Pretty good day, I think.

Double Dare 5 - Dare to be Me

Double Dare 5 — Dare to be Me
by Maeryn Lamonte

Steven has discovered that it takes more than putting on a skirt to become a girl, and more than becoming a girl to become accepted. He thought he'd found a way to make his life better but it just got a lot worse. The question is does he have any friends left

Yipppppeeeeeee!!

I got the bloody job - Start Monday.

I can't believe it.

It's going to put a severe dent in the amount of time I can spend writing - like possibly leaving nil for the first few months and I'm sorry, but I don't care. It's the first job I've had in nearly three years.

In light of the fact that I was pretty much offered the job on Friday, Pen and I have been looking at houses and are possibly going to be buying ourselves a house in France over the Easter break as well. Of course, that was all banking on the job coming off and now it has, it's all systems go.

Double Dare 4 - Dare to be Different

Double Dare 4 — Dare to be different
by Maeryn Lamonte

Steven’s parents have agreed to him trialling living full time as a girl. Knowing the response he’s had from the other lads at school to him just being a weedy guy, this could prove to be a tough decision, unless his new friends can come through for him.

The Summer of Bailey: Part 6

TSoB.png
Bailey wraps up his visit to the Oasis Day Spa with a brand new hairstyle.
It seems like his old life as Zachary is starting to drift away,
as he attends Tracy's birthday party in a dress and heels.
Everything seems like it's falling into place,
until Bailey wakes up to hear a heated argument between his mother and Tom...

Is Israel the up-and-coming Mecca?

Some of you may remember that the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest (that's a television Spectacular where the TV companies in each country in Europe (and also neighbours like Turkey, Israel and so on) select a totally crap song and then all 32 or whatever have a 'gala' night to select a winner) was won by the Israeli entry, a song called 'Diva' sung by a performer called 'Dana International'. To be of relevance here on this site, it will come as no surprise that she is an MtF Transsexual.

Rambling ramble that rambles

So, things are still going in the story and what I am posting is catching up to what I haven't written yet. We still have a ways to go and I am hoping that I am able to stay ahead of the game. It does help that I do occasionally realize that there is a gap in the narrative and create a new chapter, like for this week. There were some issues I had not addressed yet and had to throw them in. Not sure yet if this is going to get pulled yet for submission, but it just might. I like the story and the characters.

BC-V1 Chat Meeting - Part 3

Today we talked about editing standards and decided on Word/OpenOffice/LibreOffice as our editing platform.

The workflow will be nomination, choices and priorities, permission, conference with author, editing revisions, approval from author, final edit, proofing, layout, final approvals.

Stories that get hung up in the process will probably be allowed to slip to the next volume. We now have about 150 stories nominated, though some of them are too long. At any rate, we have no dearth of stories to go into Volume 1. :)

The Twilight Zone - Weird Dreams

This is the story of one George Watts who at six feet, two inches tall, two hundred and forty-five pounds of solid muscle, will find an adventure he has never thought about taking. His close cropped haircut spoke of his US Marine service. He woke up on the wrong side of the bed, maybe; or his shoes were too tight because he didn't cut his toenails; or his wife had refused sexual favors. Whatever the reason, George Watts was not himself today. But today of all days, George Watts will get up not on the wrong side of the bed, but in a place that exists only in the imagination.

Chris Dale RIP

I just thought I would pass on the link to the Daily Telegraph obituary for Chris Dale.
He was a 6ft 6in mountaineer, with a passion for solo climbs. He was also a cross-dresser who went by the name of Crystal.

Now there is someone who led an extraordinary life. It’s a shame he died at only 49.
Love to All

Trying to not be discouraged

Well, I am trying very hard not to feel discouraged by the error I made in posting my Phoenix story. I really liked how the story turned out, and now it will probably vanish without much recognition. I am trying to focus on the fact that just writing something that long is a major accomplishment for me. I am starting to wonder if the meds I am on for depression are doing any good any more. I am finding it harder to keep positive, and much easier to feel hopeless. Monday, I will call the doctor and tell him. Meanwhile to try and cheer myself up, I am working on the last part of Fluke.

The final hurdle has been cleared, re: My name change.

My Birth Certificate, the last piece of paperwork needed, is in the hands of my lawyer. All that remains is for me to sign in all the right places, and then the filing of the paperwork and the setting of a court date. Then, the REAL work begins. Changing all my identity papers to my new name. LOL!

Double Dare 3 - Double or Quits

Double Dare 3 — Double or Quits
by Maeryn Lamonte

Monday morning changed a lot of things for Steven. Every boy in the school was jealous of the attention he had received from Portia and her friends, and none of them were standing by him. It was just as well then that more and more girls were becoming friendly with him, except that they were only interested in the girly side of him…

Thanks, again, and in the home stretch

Well, I want to thank publicly everyone who sent me some support after my last entry. Somehow, just writing it down, getting it out in the open, made a huge difference, and the support I got pulled me the rest of the way back up the hill. That doesn't mean I wont ever struggle with not feeling "pretty" again, but I think as long as I remember I don't have to listen to that feeling, I will be okay. Meanwhile, I am reaching the home stretch in terms of my Phoenix story. I have one last issue to figure out, and that is; do I let them actually make love? Or not? Its a nice problem to have....

Double Dare 2 - Double or Nothing

Double Dare 2 — Double or nothing
by Maeryn Lamonte

Steven just spent Friday evening out on the town with the four hottest girls in school, only he was wearing a frilly, pink dress at the time. Going back to school on Monday is going to be interesting.

A walk in the Dark

I just want all my readers to know that I do appreciate all the comments. Some of those are as entertaining to me as the story seems to be to all of you.

So don't worry, there is more coming and Dahlia's intemperant mouth won't stop. She can't help the smart assed comments, it's just in her and she can't fight it all that well.

Thanks to all of you following this story.

Obama makes history with social secretary pick

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2011/02/white-house-anno...

The White House made history in two ways Friday, when it announced Jeremy Bernard as its new social secretary -- the first man and the first openly gay person to fill that role.

Bernard, who is currently the Senior Advisor to the Ambassador at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, will replace Julianna Smoot, the White House announced.

Mistress posting

Sorry for the delay in posting a new chapter but as always real life gets in the way.
I'm hoping to get the next chapter edited and posted this weekend, so for those of you who have waited patiently, your wait will soon be over.

Working 12 hours a days really is a drag and doesn't leave much time for anything else after caring for Mom and sleeping there's just an hour or so left so I'm behind.

Again I apologize for the delay

Love to you and yours
