This is the first of two of my stories that involve 20th century icons. The biographical facts are correct, so you can tell who it is in each story.

Love and Old Books…Part 1

It’s the computer age right? E-mails and Facebook, Twitter and e-books. I guess I’m as techy as most average people but for me.

For me there’s nothing like a good book.

Even the smells, actually especially the smells. There’s nothing as brain tickling as the smell of books, especially old books. Not like old aged books but like the smell you get when you walk into an old bookstore.

~* Another Extra Ordinary Day *~

“This is so cool,” Allison giggled. “I’ve always wanted to visit Disney World.”

“Yeah, but I love you anyway,” Nicole teased.

It's funny how wishes can turn out. Before it happened, I would never have wished it to happen. I wished for things like saving up enough money to start a business back home, or getting a green card. It's funny how life turns out - I also dreamed of fucking blond American girls, not that they paid much attention to me.

When Mrs. Hejak thinks her daughter Kera is being mistreated by her boyfriend, she turns him into a girl and gives him an ultimatum - break up with Kera when she gets back in town, or be stuck as a woman forever.

“All three results saw you as a very mature person who has characteristics
of both male and female people. The short time we already have had together
indicates you are indeed quite a capable and feeling person.”

I was getting ready for a date with my favorite Valentine, Ciaran. We were getting real close since Christmas where I quite literally crashed in front of his house. He let me stay there for at least a week. I discovered that he was a sweet man, the first man I ever dated as I was just discovering myself and who I wanted to be.

Chapter 25

I wipe some of the sweat away from my forehead and take a drink from my water bottle. “Wow…my back…” I look over to Shy who’s way ahead of all of us in their row. Jax is pulling grassy bits out of his rake.

“Y’know for someone that’s never raked a blueberry in her life she’s likely the best raker I’ve seen since dad.”

That’s likely because Shy’s mimicking him.

“Yeah, she’s….”

“Into you which sucks for me.”

“Jax!”

“What? Cheyenne’s likely the easiest damned girl that I’ve ever talked to. Well besides you Dylan.”

Chapter 46

I wake up with the dead arm feeling and a smile. I can’t help the smile even with everything that Alex and I talked about and stuff. I’m happy and it’s hard to mess with that but I’m going to.

I slip out of bed and I go and I make a coffee and it’s pretty early but I’m up for a reason. I make a strong pot of coffee and I hold my mug under the perk until it’s full them slip the pot in. Lots of sugar and some creamer and I wait sitting on the steps in the garage just outside my door waiting for.

Adam….

Mr. Briggs stuck his head into the office and announced, “Beason is comfortable in covering the additional cost of the Hospital Children’s Christmas… …Seemingly they heard both from the E.C.R. Hospital and the Philadelphia newspaper.” They are not sure what happened, but some are calling it the Christmas Miracle at Willow Grove.”
