Jack and the girls had met up with Debbie, Alex and Robert at the movie theater the next day. Julia and Gina held onto Jack’s hand tightly and stood close to him. Both were nervous and a little scared as they walked away from the safety of the hummer towards the movie theater to stand in line to wait for the tickets. Debbie had suggested the new Smurf movie for the girls. Julia and Gina kept close to Jack as they waited to buy the tickets and then when he took them inside to buy popcorn, candy and soda pop.

“Which hospital is she in?” I ask as I get into Stuart’s car and fasten my seatbelt.

“Queen Charlotte's,” Stuart says, before a wide smile spreads across his face. “So… Did- did they, you know, say anything? About the kid?”

“You’re the one who Mikey texted,” I retort, before my eyes go wide as I realise what- or rather, who- Stuart’s referring to. “Oh, oh you- you meant-“

“Yeah,” Stuart nervously giggles. “Nearly put the baby seat in the car before setting off, I’m getting so practised at it…”

I must apologise for the very long delay in continuing this story but unfortunately my muse deserted me for about 2 years and I simply couldn’t commit anything to paper. I feel that now I can continue - please be gentle with me.

The responses were split between the two options so I was still in a quandary. After a lot of thought I have decided to write a chapter that précis the previous 11 episodes. Clair holds tight onto the child as she sleeps soundly during the ride. A smile appears on her face as she watches Selena ride her motorcycle next to her partner’s bike. Clair wonders who would beat such a lovely child as this girl appears to be. Even with her wearing the clothes Edith design for the club to sell, she looks so darling and peaceful. The quiet country morning is disturbed by the roar of an unknown beast as the surrounding country side is awakening from this roar.
