Skyler finds himself in an awkward situation and, because the situation could lead
to a huge scholarship, all the women in his life seem to want to keep him in that situation.
As I have done in a previous story, there are links posted at the end of each chapter that
will bring you to a YouTube version of the music mentioned. There's only one link for this
chapter, but there will be more as the story progresses. Please feel free to leave comments! A QUICK NOTE: This was a long and somewhat challenging story for me, AND it
was written during the most busy, exhausting and frustrating six months of my life. I hope
it appeals to you. If it doesn't, that's cool, too, but regardless,
it was my link to sanity during a tough time.
A promise to tell Blaine the truth. A blackmailing teacher making her move.
A visit from friends from back east. Homework. A TV show to be made... just another
week in the life of an average fourteen year old girl. Bebe's got a lot on her plate!
The quiet hum of monitors filled David’s hospital room, the soft beeping marking the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. His mother and Emma had just stepped out for coffee, leaving him alone in his still-unconscious state. The fluorescent lights above cast a pale glow over his motionless form.
The peace was shattered when one of the machines began to emit a shrill, rapid alarm. A nurse, passing by the door, rushed in to check the monitors. Her eyes widened as she read the rapidly climbing numbers on the screen.
The State Troopers waited at their roadblock. All other traffic was diverted. It was just them and the armed fugitives headed their way at high speed in a hot - in more ways than one - muscle car. The brigands could outrun the police ground vehicles, and even the helicopters, but not the radios. The Troopers stood in the afternoon sun, sweaty, tense and edgy, shotguns and assault rifles at the ready.
Blake Medical Recovery Center, Napa Valley, Northern California:
Sara and Cindy look down at all the women and some men who have been brought to the center for help and recovery. Both of them couldn’t understand why anyone would forcibly turn innocent males and some women into the opposite sex.
“Mom and sis weren’t joking when they said that there would be days when this job would get to you.” Cindy looks at her twin sister standing next to her.
No, Nathan wasn’t crazy. To say he was WOULD be crazy. He was a very well adjusted man.
He was just frantically scouring the internet for any evidence of magic being real.
The part of him that still wanted to be rational was thinking “of course magic isn’t real, that’s ridiculous, you’re being ridiculous”. And he was being ridiculous, magic was not something that existed in the real world, and it certainly wasn’t something that sensible, level-headed adults believed in.
I had never enjoyed shopping more. My feet ached and we’d about doubled the mortgage on the house, but I had so much new stuff. We did just about manage to empty the back of the car in one trip when we arrived home, but only with both Mum and me carrying as many bags as would fit in each hand.
“What the hell is this?” Dad grumbled from his seat. The water on his table was untouched and there were a couple of extra beer cans beside the one I’d left him. Well, if he wanted to start Sunday with a hangover, that was his lookout.
Abigail appraised my movements and told me to take shorter steps with my feet trying to follow a straight line. Then I had to lose my slouch that the weight of the breasts were forcing on me. We worked on all of these until I walked correctly, with my head high and my shoulders back. That was a whole new feeling.
Princess Alexandria Alessi’s life has turned upside down in the blink of an eye. Only a few days ago, she was enjoying a clandestine summer shopping with her best friend at the local mall. Coming home, she was alarmed to discover her mom was there, and her secret of being transgender was suddenly no longer secret! Within a few short hours, her life became like a movie as she discovered that her long-lost father was the Crown Prince of Osané, a small, secluded island nation. Alexandria was immediately thrust into the spotlight in a whirlwind weekend that led to a Monday press conference to announce her royal lineage.
Royal Performer is the second Tiffany Shar's 'Suddenly Royal' series.
Bryce and Paul were boyhood friends. Many Saturday afternoons had been spent horizontal on sofas watching sports on the TV. As the years went by the cans of cola were replaced by beer, razors were in each bathroom and their voices had broken, of course. Commercial breaks were now occupied by discussions of the attractiveness (or otherwise) of various girls of their mutual acquaintance and the ruses needed to get them wearing as little as possible, as quickly as possible.
I was at my desk working on the final plan for the rundown of production and not getting anywhere. My mind was not on the task at hand. If I was perfectly honest with myself, the plan was good and didn’t need any revision.
Crystal has gotten used to being a girl, a Nymph, a Muse, and even a mother figure, but is she really ready to go to an all-girls school and start working at Pandora's Box? The life of a trouble magnet is never easy.
“Someone is going to die in a very not-hilarious way,” Melody said in a cold tone that was almost frighteningly calm.
Julia Wallace visits her psychiatrist to discuss repressed memories that have suddenly returned. Julia finds that telling Susan Bradshaw about her past terrifying but also cathartic. She begins by telling Susan about how, as a teenage boy, she discovered that she felt like she should really be a girl and how the men in her life took advantage of that.
Please heed the warnings as this chapter explores themes of coercion and reluctance.
Rose mingles with the people at the banquet. She keeps Sasha in sight, so she can talk to her. As for Ciarán, something about him was rubbing her the wrong way. It was a good thing she came prepared. She walks close to Ciarán and gently drops a small GPS tracker into his side pocket. She also scans his cell phone with hers.
While she is close to Ciarán, she listens in on what he is saying to some guy. They were talking about investments and the newest CEO of some company. Nothing that matters to her. She wasn’t into acquiring or having lots of money like her family.
Eli grew up on a ranch in Montana. He had heard about Incursions, Breaches, and the Titans that came through those breaches to slaughter some people and capture others. To him though, it had always been something that happened far away to other people. His life was forever changed though when a Breach opened near his home, everything he knew was destroyed or taken, and he ended up Altered.

CHAPTER 43
I didn’t sleep that well that night, and probably came across as a little grumpy over breakfast. Chad and Maryam were off quickly, Kul and I following a little later. The drive into work was a bit tense at first, as Kul clearly picked up on my mood.
“I never met her, Mike. Wish I could have”
“Sorry?”
“Me being silly. If I had been given the chance to meet her, you would never have ended up in Sheffield, so we’d never have met, us two that is, and well, yeah. You’re thinking betrayal, aren’t you?”
A couple of weeks after my birthday party, I was sent a letter telling me that the College was moving to contract cleaners in the next term and gave me a contact number if I wanted to apply to work for them. I had enough experience now to know that they worked you all hours, paid a pittance and were very picky about your work.
Two years ago Stacy visited a newly discovered dimension, with his parents, on an adventurous summer vacation. He was astounded by how the other dimension's technology was decades ahead of his own! During his senior year he applied to Emerson University in the city he had visited. He was excited and hopeful of learning more about their technology as an exchange student, and hopefully bring it back to his own world. (Story set in the Diaper Dimension)
Nathan frowned as he took another walk through all the aisles of the store. It was probably the fifteenth or sixteenth time he’d done so. He knew he was wasting his lunch break, but he didn’t care, he just wanted to find Kira.
No matter how many times he looked, she wasn’t anywhere in the store.
He was alone today, evident from how Natalie wasn’t coming out either.
He probably shouldn’t have been as disappointed as he was, but he really wanted someone to talk to.
Nancy recommended a couple of hangover cures, which required ingredients
the dining hall didn’t have, but I made up a makeshift with orange juice
and hot sauce, which took my mind off the hangover if it didn’t cure it.
“No need to wait,” she said, “Won’t it be more fun to see if Sadie recognizes her when we’re done?”
“Hmm, true! I’m not sure I would have known it was Chris–sorry, Chrissy–if you hadn’t told me right away,” Julia replied. She opened the box and took out something round-ish that Chris didn’t immediately recognize, “Sorry, they’re not quite her color.”
“That’s okay!” Amy exclaimed, “It’s all make-up safe, right?”
“Wakey wakey, sunshine,” giggled a voice, coupled with a gentle shake to Sammy’s shoulder. He wasn’t in bed.He was on something… not quite hard.Something smelled weird. He started, suddenly full awake.
Cameron's Mom just got remarried. His whole life was turned upside down---new father, new sister, new house, new school. The only thing that is a constant is his need to make it as a big time game streaming but unfortunately he has no audience. That is until an accident in PE class gives him a black eye and the cover up accidentally gets him mistaken for a girl. What first starts as a fluke gets out of hand very quickly and soon Cameron becomes someone else entirely.
As the USS New Horizons continued its journey toward Bermuda, the first rays of the sun began to break over the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow that painted the sky and the water's surface with a breathtaking palette of orange and yellow. The sea, now a glistening canvas of light, reflected the sun's radiant glow, heralding the arrival of a new day and a fresh start. The gentle sound of the waves lapping against the ship's hull added to the serene atmosphere, creating a symphony of nature's beauty.
Life has some certainties, birth and death of course, but the rest is a mix of Minestrone and Spaghetti, some of which we have no direct influence over. Well you don't find out without trying so that's just what our heroine is about to find out in this, the 27th book of the Gaby saga.
