The Wolf Tribe of the Free People is being destroyed.
Their last survivors are fleeing for their lives.
But amid the chaos a girl sees her hopes rising.
And, sometimes an end is just a new beginning in disguise.

But SHE waits for her children.

Grace Carson was just your ordinary everyday slightly introverted transgendered woman trying to make her way through life. She never expected to be tested, ran through the fires of hell, and face the very worst humanity has to offer. But, who does? This is her story.

In the fog of life
A feeling of soft butterfly kisses
Trail fleetingly across my neck
Steel strong self belies gentle soul
Wistful desire of dress with rococco lace

Perhaps not my final choice of title, indeed for obvious reasons “Life on Venus” sprang to mind. “Gene Hunt” is of course not my creation although perhaps “Jean Hunt” may appear?
Be gentle, this story is the first I have written in a very long time.
I will try to add additional chapters as I get around to writing them but have no idea where I want the tale to go yet. My muse and the storyline are still arguing over the teacups!

What I later found out had happened that New Year would be something one would think suicidal on the world, at least I and others who know about it would. The Chinese government thought setting off a nuke right on the New Madrid fault line would do the job nicely in the United States, shattering any metropolis in the ensuing earthquake and the riots that then followed.

The world is fine. The world is perfect, thanks to perfected biotechnology, genetic engineering and the like. Pollution is a thing of the past genetically engineered microbes dissolve waste and convert it into usable fuel products. The oceans are pure of toxic waste once more.
