Dealing with the disappointment of not being cast in a TV show with his friends, John focuses on opening night of The Taming Of The Shrew and trying to figure out If he can handle the rocky roads of a career in acting.
It's callback day for John. Ed and Rose will be auditioning too. The possibility for stardom and wealth are so close.
How will they all handle the pressure? Are they looking for someone like John or someone like Bebe?
Installment six is well underway. I hope that I don't make you wait too long.
John's sister, Nancy is not as supportive of Bianca as his mother and Rose, but he's got his call back for the TV show to prepare for and opening night for The Taming of The Shrew is just days away. Lots of possible outcomes to this summer as Bianca begin to unfold.
John's preparation to play the role of Bianca brings him down new, strange roads. His talent earns him an audition for a TV role which forces him to face the great big world as a pretty, young girl.
Continuing to prepare for his role as Bianca in Shakespeare's TAMING OF THE SHREW, John becomes a spirited adolescent girl full time. His mother and friends are extremely supportive, and then some.
The mediation looms, but Brad is that moth drawn to the flame that Sara is. There's worry she could fade away though, to make things easier on him. And Jenny is a concern to all, though she has some lessons for her dad to learn and maybe has a surprise planned for him.
Brook finds that the majority of his classmates
barely take notice of his decision to present as
a girl, but there are still those who will pick on
him just to feel superior. A surprise visitor shows
up at work one night and creates some conflicts
for Brook. He needs his dad's advice.
As summer comes to an end, Brook returns home to
his (hopefully rehabilitated) father and prepares to
return to school for his senior year. Lots of concerns
about how he will be received by his classmates.
December 2024 Change A Life Christmas Story Contest Entry
Author’s note: I made the mistake of promising a complete Christmas story by December 21, but it kept expanding until I ran out of days. I intend to post a chapter each day for the next eight days, but I will keep the postings a reasonable size. You’ve all got lots of contest stories to read — and other stories, too!
This story is a scene set in Manchester England. A man comes home from work and finds his wife cooking dinner. This story is told from both points of view.
" Hi Michelle luv, I'm back! What's for dinner?"
Tony's back. I only hope he's not feeling too horny. I'm standing at the sink, washing up.
"There's a casserole in the oven. it should be ready in about ten minutes."
I can feel his eyes on me. I better turn the oven down.
At a sleepover with his childhood best friends, Elliot hears them making fun of a transgender celebrity. Elliot has always felt different and an outsider. He works to discover his true identity and when he does it's hard to accept. Elliot struggles between staying silent and standing up for himself. Will he reveal his secret or pretend to be someone he’s not?
I grew up in the Australian Outback. So, it wasn’t exactly beyond the Black stump and on second thought it wasn’t THAT far from the big city. So let’s say it was in the bush.
“You’re the one saying that I walk like a man,” Amelia pouted, careful about her enunciation and also squinting into the sunlight and balancing a stack of books on her head.
A night of passion shared, a want to bask in that with her this morning, but had Sara left? There are storm clouds brewing and a threat is leveled - one direct and one veiled.

“Beautiful,” I involuntarily whisper as I watch the image on my screen, grateful that my microphone is on mute and that none of the other teenagers — the other girls — on the call can hear me. And in fairness, the images I’m seeing ARE beautiful.
The 15-year-old girl looks effortlessly elegant as she glides across the floor in her pink tutu. Even her pink face mask doesn’t detract from the illusion that she is the perfect image of a ballerina — although the badge stuck to the tutu that says ’15 today’ does a little.

“Last call everyone. You no have to go home, but you cannot stay!”
The bartender, Jakob Adamovich, bellowed. He was the sole worker, except for his wife and mother who worked in the back of house to deliver the best cheeseburger with a pretzel crust to ever grace the planet. I was able to try it once, three weeks prior when they had an extra one after someone mouthed off to the six-foot-three Jake who threw him out with absolutely no effort. Jake allowed me to sit at a table at the back of the bar so I could study as it was difficult to do homework by the dashboard light.

Dinner left Brad wondering if Sara was waving him off and her not being at the café the next morning makes things look bleak. Was it over before it ever got a chance to begin?
The next morning at the breakfast table a freshly grounded Tracie was almost shouting. "If I was a boy, I wouldn't be grounded, and we wouldn't even be having this discussion right now!”
Speaking through his teeth, Tracie's dad spat, "You ARE a boy!"
"No. No, she's not."
It was spoken quietly, almost unheard, but it had a force behind it that shut everyone up.
Corinne looked at her husband, "Face it, honey, she's not a boy and hasn’t been for a long time, if ever, really." He sat back down and put his forehead in his hands, staring at his plate.
