The young adult’s section of Albert Sidney Johnston Memorial Library was my personal retreat from the outside word. Here among the old paperback novels and cheap pup fiction from the late eighties to the early nineties I felt safe for a time. Also for practical reasons, the library offered a place to cool down and relax on those long, hot summer days that Mississippi is known for.

The first few days, I kind of lost myself in just how much new and great-feeling everything was. Godmother showed me each of the different rooms of the Bonne house, and I asked her questions along the way. My new bedroom was luxurious, featuring a king size bed with an overhead satin draw-curtain, and comfortable sheets that felt like clouds against my new soft skin. “Remember, you only have to sleep if you wish to,” the Godmother reminded me, “And if you wish to use this room as a private space, simply ask and I will turn off my sensation here.” I giggled.

I was halfway through my hot chocolate when the door to the my room swung open. There in the doorway stood my older sister. Now, Kayla was a full fourteen years older than me. Growing up, I rarely saw much of her, save those rare visits around the holidays. So, around three times a year if I was luck, those three times of course being Easter, Thanksgiving and finally Christmas.

The dry erase board in my room, told me the nurse for the morning shift was somebody named “Veronica”. It turns out that Veronica was a hand full of years older than me. A young nurse from school. She still had that freshly pinned shine about her. My eyes followed Veronica around the room as she checked on everything. She seemed a little ill at ease.

A Kymmie Verse story

So me and Greg are sitting in the living room with Karla, her nose in a book as always. We heard the door open. The only one that was out was Kelsey.

“ Kels is that you?” Greg asked.

“ Yeah, Dad.”

Kelsey walked into the living room with a friend. “ How many this week, Kar?” She asked Karla.

“ Seven and” She looked at the book in her hand, “3/4”

“ And it is only Wednesday”

“ Mom, Dad, This is my girlfriend Brooklynn. She's going to sleep over tonight.”

“ OK” both Greg and I said together.

Raven was bent over the front of a car she was working on when she is slapped on the ass. She stands up and turns around to see who just slapped her on her ass. She was getting tired of being treated like she was a piece of meat to be used.

She comes face to face with her boss. He was treating her as his own personal sex slave.

“Come with me, Raven.” Dave was feeling horny and wanted to fuck Raven.

“But I have to finish this car.” Raven didn’t want to go with Dave.

At 358 miles from Zarbam, the Island of Ibiza {GM 38.983162, 1.414738} was 64 miles east of the Cape de la Nau, Spain. The island was already populated when Phoenicians founded a port in 654 BCE. Ibiza then came under the control of Carthage. After Rome defeated Carthage, Ibiza negotiated a favorable treaty sparing further destruction. It's Carthaginian-Punic institutions and traditions continued well into the Empire days. The rocky island is 11.5 miles wide by 24.5 miles long oriented southwest to northeast making 221 square miles with a hot-summer Mediterranean climate bordering on a hot semi-arid climate. The island had some terracing for olive trees on the hilly interior with farm fields in the lower coastal areas with sheep and goats supplemented with fishing supporting a population of 5000. There was a well protected natural harbors also called Ibiza. Raben led a massive influx of Clan Corvo people, talking to the locals and buying land as ship after ship put into the port unloading the Clan Corvo immigrants.

When the Quads where just starting 8th grade. I was at work one day when I got paged to the phone.

“ Hello, this is Doctor Reid, can I help you?”

“ Dr. Reid this is Mrs. Wilson the secretary from Cooper middle school.”

“ Yes, Mrs. Wilson how may I help you?”

“ Well I have Kelsey and Kalley here in the office. They have been in a fight.”

“Ms Wilson will see you now,” said the assistant.

I stood up and after a moment’s hesitation; I followed her into the very impressive office. The views out over East London were impressive.

They should be. We were on the twenty third floor of one of the large tower blocks that fringe the edge of the City of London.

Ms Wilson stood up from behind her desk and came to greet me.

“Thank you for coming Susan. Please take a seat.”

I was shown to a comfortable seat where after smoothing my skirt I sat down.

As the July 8 Sun streamed in her basement bedroom window. Kelsey Shadow Reid, a brown haired, green eyed 17 year old high school student slept quietly. At about 11:30 the phone rang. She picked it up after 4 rings.
“ Hello”

“ Hi, Babe”

“ Hi, Scott, What’s up?”

“ Where were you last night?”

“ I was at the parking lot show at the Silver dome, Why?”

“ I thought I told you to be at Ryan’s party last night”

“ Well you did and I told you that I was not going to be there because I had that show.”

Hello there. My name is Patrick Robert Walker, and I'm writing this blog because I'm worried. I've had some weird things happening with my body lately. I haven't had to shave in several weeks. I'm 26, and I used to need to shave four or five times a week. But ever since Labor Day, my facial hair has been growing less and less. At first, I didn't mind not having to shave, but now my whole face is perfectly smooth.

On Saturday, the girls where 3 months old. A knock came to the door. Opening it there was a small girl. She looked 15. “ Hi, Can I help you?” I asked her.

“ I'm Emily Chapmann. I saw an ad and wonder if you are still looking for a surrogate mother.”

“ Emily How old are you?” I asked.

“ Everybody asks that. I am 21.”
