February had always been a short month, but this one flew by fast.

There was a moment when she encountered her father again, and she nearly stormed off. It would have made a scene, but she barely cared. Worse than that, it was her favorite ice cream shop, and she hadn’t paid yet when Patrick entered.

He saw her and put down the money in cash for a chocolate banana.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hi,” Judy said in turn.

“I messed up the other night, and I’m sorry.”

Chapter Three – Do You Love Me?

Transgender lawyer Adele and her cis female partner Celia are preparing to litigate a sexual assault case against four prominent businessmen. Adele's law firm would rather she didn't and they task her with bringing a new client on board using whatever skills she must. The new client provides Adele with some pertinent evidence for her case.

Once I was signed in, mom bent down and gave me a kiss on my cheeks, and then she departed. Leaving me along. The air was filled with nervous chatter. Being true to my nature, I slowly backed myself into the nearest corner I could find and cast my eyes toward the gathering crowds. Now, I understand that popular media has painted the picture of events being something akin to mental fencing, with each person propping the others with catty remarks and teasing insults.

I should have been going to bed but wrote a short piece for Halloween instead. I hope y'all enjoy it.

I had gone camping once before that day.
It was in the backyard in a medium-size pink tent with my sister. We made it through the night and then went inside for lucky charms and Saturday morning cartoons.

Mr. Dish was looking over the trucking report in his office when his bodyguard comes flying through the door. He lands crumpled up several feet inside his office. He reaches under his desk for his gun, as Kat comes walking in. She had two people in full body armor standing behind her.

Kat looks down at the crumpled form on the floor. The poor sap should have known better to put his hands on her body. Normally, she wouldn’t have drop-kicked his dumbass, but he had the nerve to touch her body.

I bit my lip as I stood outside the gymnasium doors. I sighed a bit; I really didn’t want to do this, not in the least, but GAT had to at least do SOME philanthropy, right? The event in question was a phone bank – a tradition I was super familiar with. The idea was to get as many of our pledges and actives together to make calls to complete strangers and beg for money. Okay, maybe I’m oversimplifying it. I sighed and turned toward a bathroom off to the right, the ‘Women’s sign was a little crooked, probably from some idiot jumping up and trying to slap it.

Late one Saturday night in the new year, Jonnie had been working, and Mr. E. was taking him back to the hostel when he heard over the radio, “Dynamite! Dynamite! Dynamite! Yanky forty-six is in front of the Square Edward and one of the bros has a knife at his throat. Dynamite! Dynamite! Dynamite! Yanky forty-six is in front of the Square Edward and one of the bros has a knife at his throat.” He knew dynamite was the drives’ emergency call for help, though he had never heard it in use before, and wondered what was going to happen, if anything.

WARNING – This is a disturbing account of child abuse. It is based on a reality many would prefer to pretend didn’t exist. The language used in this chapter is the language that would have been familiar to and used by Waverley which is very different from that used by Bling and Suzie in the last chapter.

Angela, (Angie to Olivia,) is finally deemed to be 'clean' and 'off' the drugs. She is placed by the police in a safe house that she thought was going to be a nightmare until the secret destination is revealed.

Fireworks blazed the sky on the night of the 31st. Most of Paragon City thought nothing of it, or at least nothing out of the ordinary. However, they were close to the prison on multiple sides, and no one official had approved of the display.
