. Chapter 18
Hana made a call to Sandra Hart, informing her about what happened to Ami. The doctor was fully aware that this was going to be Ami's coming-out to her father and she had cautioned Hana and Ami to proceed with caution. That was the plan until Robert flew off the handle with Ami and her skating partner.
There was nothing left to say. She looked so alone and vulnerable I wanted to reach out to her, but that wasn’t going to happen now. With a slowness born of reluctance I gathered all my clothes and put them into my bag; it didn’t take long even so.
I put the door key on the coffee table and looked up at her stiff and unrelenting pose. It was already dark outside and cold enough that a wet snow was falling. I had no idea where I might find shelter at this time of the evening, but I had no more welcome here. I couldn’t blame her for that, I mean what had happened to me was farfetched. I gave the friendly tabby a last scratch behind his ears and headed for the door and who knew what.
It was really faster paced than I wanted or Shaya wanted but at the same time oh my gods this was good. It was running up the stairs of this beautiful wood paneled mansion that I’m sure was all really intricate and everything. But Shaya’s and my lips are locked and we’re bouncing off some of the walls shedding armor and clothes well it’s easier for me but getting Shaya out of her armor’s like trying to get a three year old out of a ski suit.
It’s enough to set me to giggling.
At a farm on a bleak Welsh hillside on a wet dank day, a car drew up and a late middles aged man got out. He walked across the farmyard being careful not to get his shoes wet. He approached two men who were outside a cowshed. Their attention was focussed on a large brown & white cow.
The Rosetta Stone program finally arrived, so now on top of everything else I’m going to spend my evenings learning Dutch. Thanks, Tanner. I was hoping he had been joking when he said he sent for the program.
We spent the early afternoon getting my driver’s license changed while Irina was ‘minding the store’ then we went around in circles trying to change my birth certificate.
I smiled when I stepped into my own closet to get ready for the day. No glam outfits, no wigs, no Sarah for the whole weekend. I smiled at the opportunity to just be myself.

The Center: Best Served Cold - Part Eight
by:
Enemyoffun
Becca has been having nightmares, all of them involving a certain Mr. Green and how he ruined her life. Now Green's whereabouts might be known and Becca will do whatever it takes to make sure that he doesn't get away from her this time, no matter what the cost.
I started this over a year ago, and I need some encouragement if it is going to go anywhere.
So this is a warning: These three chapters is all I've written, and I can't promise regular updates, 'though the more favorable comments I receive, the more apt I am to write more.
The North American Federation is a place where the government has just enough authority to prevent anyone else from setting one up, and all sentients within its borders have the right to become citizens, and is inspired by L. Neil Smith's work.
As the Light from the doors dies down, I see a temple layout in front of me. I step into the temple structure and as soon as I pass the doors, they close behind me.
Three girls find they have a lot more in common than their music...
lainie's hope - maybe now they'll listen...more than just playing...maybe now they might hear
Pansy settles in with her newborn daughter at Los Ocotes, the finca of Susana and her husband, and adapts well, if unwillingly, to working as Suzi's maid. But will she find a way to escape when the month is over, and she is allowed to go her own way?
Author's note This is as true a version of my abuse as I can produce. I have removed some of what happened to me so it was readable, but it is still going to be tough for some people. Please consider your own state of mind before reading, as it may trigger.
Another great sports story from Angela Rasch on Kindle from DopplerPress!
Orphaned, Angel has to move to live with his uncle. Even though a standout athlete in Illinois, he's having trouble finding a place to fit in Pecos. Angel played soccer back in the Midwest, but that isn’t even an option in this gridiron-crazed, West Texas town. He gets a job in a Dairy Queen, but it seems mostly due to a misunderstanding and his life goes off in a new direction....
A collection of stories with a sporting theme by Angela. Seven of her best tales centered on the worlds of golf, basketball, football and cheerleading, all with plenty more going on outside the sporting action.
