It is six months today that Madame finally took total control over me. Before that, I was a regular "client" of hers for several years.

I woke, and realized I was restrained. I also felt a terrible dislocation in time. I somehow knew I had been unconscious for a significant period of time. Fear poured over me. Had I been kidnapped:? So many movies and TV shows came back to me, that when I heard soft footsteps and saw a shadow at the end of my bed, I actually squeaked, “Don’t hurt me, please.” “Nobody’s hurting anybody, sweetie” a woman said, and I looked at her and realized she was a nurse.

Things became somewhat muddled for me after that. I remember crying–a lot. Ms Jones tried to comfort me, but my brain was overloading with frightening thoughts of what my parents might be experiencing...

As I sat there in the church, I thought of how fragile and short life is. My friend Christy had found out she had Cancer and felt the pain would be too much to bear so she ended her life. She had been dealing with Bipolar Disorder all of her life and I guess the added news of her diagnosis proved to be too much. I had even had thoughts of doing the same thing. The stress of living my life to make my family happy was beginning to become too much. I spent twenty three years of my life trying to fit into a role as a son, grandson and brother. I was miserable.
