I mentally shrugged my shoulders and followed the instructions. Parking the bike in the assigned spot, I waited while the bike was secured for the ferry trip.

When you consider the circumstances in my life, it’s easy to see how things turned out the way they did. My dad was killed in action in Afghanistan when I was eight. He was through with his active duty time and had joined the National Guard and his unit was called up when the Taliban launched a major offensive. There are no male relatives that I know of so I haven’t really had any male influence in my life since then.

I have been a long time reader on here, so I thought I would trim my hand it writing a kinda short story. This is loosely based on a true story, but names have been changed. It is a story about a boy whose fascination with makeup and femininity all came flowing out because of one incident. I apologize for any grammatical errors, English was never my best subject.

Jo was now adjusting more and more to life as a girl and was accepted by everybody at work and in her social life as Jo. It was now time to meet with her sister to make sure about what Josie's plans were before she got deeper and deeper into living and working as Jo.

Jamie woke to a hand shaking his shoulder.

"Wakey, wakey, sleepy head."

Jamie pushed the sheet back from his neck and tried to roll over but tangled himself in the covers. His mother looked down on him, grinning, already dressed and made up for work.

After sleeping on it, Joey's mind had not changed, he was going to become Jo for as long as the project at the archaeological dig went on, but needed to act quickly to ‘bite the bullet’ before he changed his mind.

Davey knew he shouldn't have worn his mother's hat to do yardwork in, but being a redhead, he didn't need to get burned. And he certainly didn't need anymore butterscotch freckles...
