Helen's Diary

Hi everyone on BC. With Momma E's letter to Helen, i feel it was a great ending to one of my longest stories i have ever writen. Oh how i wanted soooo much to keep it going but i never found anything that wasn't already addressed in the narrative. I had fun with Helen and Jo but i felt it was time to move onto something else. I left it open because 1) i wanted Helen to reflect myself a little and i am still not out of the closet so i would have literally no idea of how to proceed if she ever does come out on paper.

Looking for a few old stories

Work has been incredibly light this last month and to keep myself occupied, I've been reading old stories. Unfortunately, there are two that have been nagging at me to be read that I cannot find anywhere...

Story 1: I believe this was a lightoffury/lightivaton story where earth is being invaded by interdimensional monsters that are attuned to specific elements. The main character slowly gains control over all the elements over the course of the story while fighting stronger and stronger monsters.

Revisions and Retcons

I've been going back and reading through some of my previous work. A few glaring mistakes stood out to me that I corrected asap. Then I started noticing little mistakes. A wrong pronoun here, or the wrong use or spelling of a word. Before long I felt like changing a few things in the story overall. It got me thinking...

Brand NEW Book on Kindle

I've posted a brand NEW, NEVER BEFORE read on here book to kindle called A Light in The Darkness. Its only the first part of the book, 10 chapters but I'm REALLY excited about it. Its been a LONG time coming. I started it months ago and struggled for a while to get it done. I plan to post the second part in a few months time after this.

Here is a direct link to the store page, I'm sure someone more capable than me can clean this blog up a little better *crosses fingers* I'll also post a look at the cover too :).

Thanks in advance,
EOF

Need reviewer for novel-length story that's in work

I have a collaborator (you know who you are, and you're doing a great job!) who's helping write a new story - it's in work when I find time. Not sure if I'll try to publish for revenue (earn a few $$$) or publish it serially here.

The problem I have is that sometimes I get a little too verbose, and I need someone who can read and then say "this section or paragraph is not needed" or "tighten up the long, boring dialog" or "why don't you narrate it instead of doing the longer dialog thing?" Also any obvious "WTF? This could NEVER happen!" bits.

Better

Hey everyone,

Good news today. I am now officially off antibiotics and bedrest. I can breathe again, the cough seems to be gone, I'm not exhausted all the time, and my lungs and airways both sound good. So I can now get back to writing rather than spending most of my time in bed doing nothing but driving myself slowly crazy with boredom. I'm hoping that next week I'll be able to get back into my regular posting schedule, or at least close to it, though I am still trying to take it easy as I do that so I'm not getting sick again.

I am sorry

I was so very wrong, I am so sorry. I understand why people ask for kudos and comments now. It's so depressing when you have tons of reads and no comments or anything.

I didn't realize how upsetting it feels when you work so hard, research like hell, make sure to not be racist in your depictions of monsters, even do tons of research. Even doing things like the EXACT temperature that was there when it was that time period and people still don't care.

Some bonus media for "Jasmine's Last Wish"

Whatever talents I have, they don't extend to the visual arts. But I do sometimes like to have something to work from, to help visualization. An artist named Jirla Vinse Jonatan Väätäinen (http://www.jirkavinse.com/) has done a series of images of Disney characters as real people. Relevant to the story:

The Huntress Chronicles Heavy Editing

For those that like my story or care. I heavily edited the first 3 episodes of The Huntress Chronicles. I needed to put them more in line with my vision. I did not like the way I told them and needed to fix a few things. I hope that doesn't put you off, I know going back and reading isn't fun but honestly you don't have to. I did change some things but they aren't huge enough to warrant a reread.

Reversal Rings

Reversal Rings 3 -- Lost and Found
by Morpheus, as are the following two

Steve, depressed and overweight, living in the doldrums of an inescapeable life, finds the ring that was previously dropped by the 6yo girl who found himself in 14yo Jamie's body. Putting it on, he finds himself in Ross's girlfriend, Shiela.

This is quite a positive development for Steve. Shiela, once she tries calling home and hears her own voice, decides that she never really was Shiela but instead was always the overweight slob Steve. So she decides to get on with his life.

New Year, new problems.

Hello out there,

I hope everyone's doing well.

I've been a bit more depressed lately than usual so I've been throwing most of my spare time into a mobile game. I generally only do that when it's really bad like don't want to participate in the real world bad.

Last year I was able to harness the depression and focus it all into writing and I'm having a hard time doing it again.

Story Updated

Some of you will notice that an update has appeared to my latest short story, "Meetings in Moxgo".

This is because the original contained a number of minor errors which, although they did not detract from the tale, were a cause for annoyance. Thus, I have changed a few minor matters which required changes and tweeked a few others.

Cheerleader 10: Sophomore Winter

Sophomore Winter, the Tenth book in the Lee Corcoran series, follows Lee Corcoran, who has completed his freshman year in college at the University of Michigan. His life does not follow the typical male athlete path.

While the book is written to allow a reader to enjoy it without all of the history, if you want to understand all the characters and dynamics in their lives, reading the previous nine books is the only way. Long-term threads and relationships tie the books together. These books primarily follow Lee and his best friend Darby, a girl.

Mindful2

Mindful2, The Follow-up to Mindful is finally on Amazon Books, Kindle. Search for 'Mindful2 by Beverly Taff'.

This is the complete novel including the final chapter.

I'm thinking of a possible follow on titled 'Mindful3' because I did leave a narrow opening to expand the story but I'm still deciding in what context and theme the story can go forward.

Beverly.

Audio Books, be warned

Received an email from a company who supposedly promotes books for authors and publishing companies who don't have the means or manpower to do it themselves. There are Book Fairs in Germany and India among many others where the larger publishing companies, and the book store chains bid on the book, bid on owing the writer's rights to all his her stories, legal right to distribution in a certain area, a nation, or world wide. The choices are endless and of course so are the prices the bidders offer for each selection.
