New Tale's Court Case

~o~O~o~

First, Id like to express my humble appreciation for the attention New Tale has received. Though I would not classify it on the same level as many of the fine works on BGTC, the response to its message is more than I would have hoped for.

This story has been an addiction for the past four years. One which has never drifted far from my attention, even when greater priorities took center stage.

Currently New Tale is a complete work with some edits occurring just prior to each chapter's posting.

As each chapter has been posted I've noted more than a few comments regarding the protagonist treatment at the hands of the state, and one particular social worker. They have ranged from assumption to a downright desire for justice. Each with a hope for those chapters to appear right soon.

In the interest of transparency regarding these chapters, I will be frank. There aren't any. The chapters to address the court case and justice for Jonathan were never written. My attempts at starting such a plotline have been unsuccessful...Until this morning.

Amidst my morning routine, whilst in the shower, ideas and details for New Tale's court case drowned out any other thought. Those nuggets now rest in the memory of my computer. Though they are not chapters, the foundations exist and could very well be developed into additional chapters.

But with anything, there is a cost associated. In this case the cost would be this: Only the next chapter could be posted before New Tale takes a hiatus from BGTC to draft and edit these new installments. I'm uncertain how long it will take.

To that end I would like to pose the question to New Tale's readership and ask, would you rather I post the final existing chapters and draw New Tale to its existing close? Or, do I beg your patience while I put fingers to keys and add some new events to the Tale?

Your comments and thoughts in this decision are greatly appreciated.

I'll probably get yelled at for this but what the heck, to keep it simple readers can use the Like/Love/Thank buttons to vote:

Like = Post New Tale as is
Love = Draft the new chapters
Thank = Meh. Either is good.

"New Tale to Tell is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

To all those who comment: Thanks for making me better!

Well, we can be patient

Whilst also expressing a desire for more! Now! Quite the contradiction, but the eagerness is intended to encourage the author I believe, like telling the baker how we would love another cake.
Anyway, I for one would like to see the extended cut, if you think it will come together in less than another four years.

"Reach for the sun."

Do as you wish.

I really liked this story, and find it quite plausible, owing to my own experiences.

Thank you.
