Som readers have mentioned how they thought the story was close to ending. In a way they are correct. Though I didn't say it at the time Part 24 is the end of Book 1. Yes there will be a Book 2. There is a lot more story to tell.
On July 10th I will start posting Book 2. At the same time Book 1 will be removed for publication on Amazon. It will not be available on KU.
I have posted WITCO every Friday morning and Monday afternoon. Unfortunately this week will be an exception. Nothing really wrong except a need to recharge my batteries. The last two parts took a lot out of me to get just right.
The same thing happened when I was writing Stick her Shock 2. The story will be back next Friday and should be back on track until the conclusion.
I just wanted to pass on my thoughts about the story so far.
Back last September when I wrote the first few chapters I had three storylines in mind. You readers made it impossible to use two of them.
The first was based on this being an ill-fated love affair. It would have ended with Part 19 and a short epilogue where a distraught Christina returns to San Francisco.
Woman in the Corner Office. It takes too long to type it all the time. In any case I just wanted to say I will post Friday mornings and Monday afternoons, two chapters at a time. I know they are short. They are first person 'in the moment' so will not have all the details a narrator might impart. I could have posted four chapters at once but then I would have posted once a week instead of twice.
that I deleted Stick her Shock 2 this evening and it will be available on Amazon soon. I will add a link when it does. It will NOT be available to read on Kindle Unlimited.
It took longer than I expected and turned out longer than I expected too. Not everyone will be happy with how things turned out but it's what the characters dictated.
On Sunday night I will delete all of part 2 to prepare it for sale on Amazon.
In the not too distant future look for more from Rhonda Peters and the JFRV gang.
I really thought this would be the last part but much as I wanted to wrap up the story I underestimated how much I had left to tell. This time I won't claim Part 21 is the penultimate chapter. I hope it is but . . .
The penultimate part of Stick Her Shock 2 has just been posted. I would suggest before you read that and the final part that you read Sentenced to Life to give some important background that will help make things clearer.
In January I will publish a collection of stories tentatively titled The Rhonda Peters Chronicles including Sentenced to Life and a prequel to Stick Her Shock entitled Jack and the Jean Stalker.
I hope you're happy sis. She was always ragging on me to write for money instead of those silly captions and short stories. I just wish she was here to see it.
For those of you who enjoyed the story here, now you can add it to your library. A portion of the proceeds of any sales will go to BC.
On Wednesday the 18th (today) I removed Stick her Shock from BC in anticipation of it's being published on Amazon Friday. A portion of the proceeds of any sales will go to BC and a portion to The Haven where my capping is done.
Stick her Shock 2 will continue to be posted here with Part 9 coming very soon.
“Be a sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them -- in order that the reader may see what they are made of."
Karin Bishop's book A Day in the Sun is available in Prime Reading. This is the first Transgender book I have seen offered in Prime Reading. So if you don't have KU but have Prime you can read the book for 'free.'
Mark is transgender. He’s known it his entire life, which has been one of lying—to his mother, to his classmates, and to himself. Every day that he is a boy is a reminder that his life is wrong, and he must continue the lie that he isn’t a girl, and is agony—especially now in high school.
There I was cruising along 20k words into book 2 when I realized I had created a plot hole you could drive a semi through. While it didn't require revising the chapters already posted it did affect part of the next part. So after drowning my 'duh' moment in the arms of my two favorite men, Ben and Jerry, I started rewriting.
I expect to post Part 2 on Sunday and hopefully at least one part a week until the finish. Thanks for all your continued interest and comments. Time to go push some pixels around. I am such a digital bully!
It's been a hell of a week for Jack Hanover. GLOOed into his lifelike appliances life has taken a turn for the worse as he tries to adjust to his new reality. Despite it all he's determined to make the best of things.
As book 1 ends the major players have been introduced, massive changes have taken place and now Jackie faces a new tomorrow with uncertainty.
Next month Book 2 will introduce more problems, reveal secrets and possible solutions to Jack's Stick Her Shock.
Thanks for reading so far. Back August 1 with Stick Her Shock 2.
And I'm sure she'll be along later this morning with all the details but book 9 of Daring Diane's Lee Corcoran: Cheerleader series is available on Amazon.
Kaitlyn Parker aka totalditz on The Haven has published a book on Amazon that is labeled forced fem but is really mild. The girls are devious, and the plot is clever with several scenes that are well written and well played. I think you will find it highly enjoyable much like Daring Diane's Corporate Dress Code in style and execution. Worth picking up and reading.
the post slightly below this one by Daring Diane about her new book Cheerleader which is a great read along with her first book Kappa Delti Girls. While buying her latest I noted a book in the 'what others bought' below that sounded interesting. It is Sisterhood by Roz White about a group of transwomen. In fact it is the first of what is currently a four book series. The interesting part is the reviews are from gg's and they are very good.
I have just finished a book that readers here should love. It's humurous and sweet and if itwas posted here wuld have tons of kudos and comments.
Don't take my word for it. Read it yourself. It is available on KU.
Oh this isn't about politics or religion so you can rest easy on that front. What I'm writing about is something that occurs in some authors writing on occasion and that is references to other authors and their works. Now I understand that it's nice to be able to mention your friends and fellow authors in your work. I am sure it gives you and the aforementioned authors a nice warm feeling and does the same for many of their friends.
I've noted how many authors get discouraged about how readership drops off after the first chapter is posted. I did some research and discovered some interesting facts about the way the system does and doesn't count page views.
First of all we know a number of people open the first chapter and decided the story isn't their cup of tea and stop reading. Then there are others who read each chapter and open it up individually and while there is often continued dropoff it isn't as severe as from the first chapter to the second.
In this age of Twitter and texting everything seems to get reduced to a few short letters or worse, an emoji. The beauty of words gets lost when reduced to a few short letters.
I am sure that it lends a certain verisimilitude to a story to drop in the current vernacular of acronyms but somehow LOL does not carry the same impact as imagining someone actually laughing out loud. In this attention deficit designed world I am sure there are many who assign their own meanings to common acronyms thus widening the breach of understanding rather than narrowing it.
If I have this right today is my eleventh anniversary of discovering BC. Certainly have been a lot of changes - of style and people over time. The changes in style always making things better; the changes in people just part of life. I think I registered because I had a story to post, my first ever.
