They sat there and drank, light banter laced with innuendo and outright sexual promise until they retired to the huge bed, closing the curtains and spending a very long time discovering new things about each other and about themselves. When sleep finally did come they lay entangled in each other without energy to even move into more comfortable positions

Kelly comes to terms with being a pregnant woman. In the meantime she gets to know Matt.

This was an absolutely fun chapter to write and read; this chapter is all about action and I do hope you'll find it enjoyable. Atalanta cuts loose a bit and consequences be damned.

I also want to thank Ashleigh again for her editing prowess as editors are the backbone of a story and I know she hasn't been feeling well.

This chapter is not too long but I feel it should be looked at separate from the next chapter but I'll try and post it in the next couple of days because they fit together.

August was in the kitchen fixing herself, Lev and Becca some breakfast. It was the weekend and Lev and Rebecca had gone out last night and celebrated his birthday. It was a week after her sixteenth birthday. They had asked if she wanted to come along, but August had stayed home to give them some private time. Rebecca had help her mend the fence with her mother, but not her father. He was still being a butthead and now her mother was divorcing him. She still couldn't believe he had another family.

"Urgh,” I cracked a window to the outside world, good its not spinning, maybe a little wobbly but Dr Wobbly’s not so bad, not compared to Mr Spin.

“My dad is not a very nice person,” I explain to my therapist. “Maybe it’s because he never expected to have a child after number ten. Maybe because he was 96 when I was born. Maybe because he’s an asshole.”

My therapist signals that I should go on, “When I was born my oldest brother had just been married, my youngest,” Here I gesture with my fingers on my glass. “Well the one closest to me, was starting High School. He didn’t have time for me.”

Sometimes, knowing can be too much, and not knowing is just enough...

At the back of the property in Las Perdidas, a gnarled old tree grew. I'd seen it out there many times since we moved. It must have been there before the new subdivision went in and the builders had left it standing because it probably costs money to bulldoze a tree, even a tree that no one needs or wants.
