Having surprised Quinn at the wedding, Ricky wants to talk things through,
start over and make a fresh start. Every step forward creates a new complication for
Quinn, of course. I hope that you enjoy this installment, too.
Crystal has gotten used to being a girl, a Nymph, a Muse, and even a mother figure, but is she really ready to go to an all-girls school and start working at Pandora's Box? The life of a trouble magnet is never easy.
“Uh… shit,” Adora mumbled, looking suddenly very sheepish. “I… uhhh… might have tricked Crystal into promising that she would stop making excuses and perform tonight. Heh, is there any way for her to get out of it, Rhissa?”
When we landed we had to go through customs after we had picked up our bags. I could have gone through the express gate if I’d been using my own passport but was testing the Estonian one which was a lot closer to how I now looked.
I deliberately dressed down as I didn’t want to overshadow my sister so just had a denim skirt and silk blouse with light tights and low boots for comfort. When we got out of the arrival hall I saw my parents waiting for us, my niece in a stroller.
Many of the men I knew who have been dead many a year would have paid a long price to have had my life, yet I could only wish it on those whom I hated the most, those who had no idea that I was never truly a man, and whose idea of what constituted masculinity I found totally repugnant.
Tomes and Tiaras, Brooklyn, New York:
Carla pulls into the parking lot of Tomes and Tiaras. She had questions about the servant of Nyx she encountered the other night and if there was one person who could give her answers, it was Iris. She knew Iris has been around for a very long time. There were only a handful of people who knew what Iris truly was.
Ursuline Academy was everything I hoped it would be. Eventually. Of course I had to get through being the new girl, which I thought wouldn't be too hard. After all, I was able to stand up in front of a few hundred complete strangers and convince them I was a cute little orphan for several nights. Stage fright? Me?
Tad Green completely goes off the rails. So far as he is concerned, all of his problems are Christie McKellar's fault, and he will do anything, ANYTHING, to force her to do what he's decided is required to 'fix it' for him.
Reader Caution. This is an extremely violent (by Tigger Standards) episode.
“Eh? What’s that?” I thought to myself, as I slowly woke from my light sleep.
My alarm clocks illuminated display showed that it was just past midnight. With my phone set not to disturb me during the night, I was confused as to why a message alert had woken me. My sleepiness wasn’t helping me think straight.
I reached over to where the now brightly-lit phone was charging, on top of my bedside table.
“You nasty little bitch!” read the message previewed on the home screen, shocking me into a more fully awake state.
It was with quick and uncaring steps that Devin walked into his Journalism class. He had taken the class mainly because most of the other electives were either full, or just looked plain uninteresting. Art? Devin didn’t particularly enjoy drawing and often found it tedious. Creative Writing? He steered clear of that one. He was sure his classmates wouldn’t want to read his gender bending fiction, which seemed to be the only thing he was even partially capable of writing. Culinary? He hated cooking under pressure.
May is in the air, and Christie is getting ready for her 4th Geup Blue Belt test. Preparations have been made for 'visiting in-dignitaries" and Donnie, in particular, is looking forward to his 'usher duties.' Naturally, Grandfather Kim has another surprise for his favorite Jeja Christie.
I woke up around midnight with the urge to pee. Once I'd finished my business, I'd decided it was time to put my plan into action. Taking a deep breath I inched my way toward the door to my room. Gathering up my courage, I reached out and took hold of the door handle and pushed upon it. The wooden door crept open and before I knew it I was standing out in the hallway.
Christie tests for her next belt, but Tad has other ideas. Amanda, Rebekah, Valerie, Donnie and Grandfather Kim all become somewhat annoyed. Grandfather Kim reveals his fascination with 1960s TV Science Fiction.
Chapter 10
On Monday they dressed in slacks and shirts with full sleeves and brought a jacket along to the airport.
"Are we taking the armored limo?" Fred asked.
Security chief Rodriguez said, "Yes, ma'am. We are also sending four guards in front of you in an armored SUV. There will be another SUV and another limo waiting at the Berlin airport."

A problem that has been brought to her attention by the half elf son of a problematic Duke. What is a Queen to do? She calls on help from a friend. Saturday morning I woke up and I just couldn't help it - with all those new clothes still in the bags I just had to wear them. The party wasn't until two in the afternoon, but I really wanted to try on some of my new things.
Christie and Cindy return to Madame Coulter's studio for their first class. Tad reflects on his less than active love life. Amanda and Christie share dinner and a heart-to-heart talk about Christie's frustrations and future plans.
In this final chapter of the saga of Greg and Tracy, an unexpected, shared misfortune sets into motion events that culminate in bringing Greg and Tracy closer together than Greg had ever imagined they would be.
Part One
Yet again Lindsay was dreaming. The dream was strange but as usual vivid and sharply detailed. It seemed to involve being in a bed in a small room with numerous folk dressed in blue and others in white coats looking at inexplicable things that had moving patterns on them that seemed to almost but never quite constantly repeat themselves. They also looked at objects that made strange noises at regular intervals. Lindsay was aware that there were a number of tubes and white string like things seemingly connected to the bed. However, like many of Lindsay’s dreams it was neither totally rational nor totally consistent. Lindsay’s dreams made life a living torment, for dream and reality crossed over, blended and became each other. It was impossible to determine what was a dream and what was reality. Dreaming of dreams within dreams within dreams, and dreams even deeper nested than that, dreams like images in two mirrors facing each other that reached to infinity and drew one into insanity, meant Lindsay had no idea what being awake was like, for all such experiences were probably only dreams too.
Part 2
“I want you to come home with me. I am here to arrange it all. I know about carrying the message to engage the assassin to kill Tomas, and the new dresses made by Serena your fee paid for. I know you are really a girl. I know all about your new dresses and where you keep them. I know how you get past the guards dressing as a girl, but you won’t be able to do that for much longer will you? It will not be safe for you when the guards here discover that you have been tricking them. I said I want you to come home with me, but I want you as my sister, the girl you want to be. I know you wish to be able to read and write, and I can give you that and much more too.”
