That was the only thing Jim could think as his Dad pontificated on all matters of life and love while he drove them both in his beaten-up white van to the job site.
His dad cleaned septic tanks for a living, and Jim was home on summer break for college, so he had been roped (read: forced) into accompanying him to today’s job, while his Dad’s regular guy, Simon, was out sick with a stomach bug, the product of some bad beef empanadas he had had for dinner the night before.
From the time Taylor was five, all he could remember was wanting to be Emma’s younger sister.
He loved dressing up in her hand-me-downs. He admired his older sister and really wanted to be her. Halloween was his favorite holiday because he could let his fantasies run wild and be Cinderella or Wonder Woman. And playing make-believe was always fun when he could be the cute little girl.
But, something happened when he turned twelve. He put away the dresses and costumes. The doll house went up in the attic and Taylor’s fantasies were all in his mind.
Until one fateful Saturday that changed everything. This is that story.

part 237.
I was discharged after two weeks of hospital hospitality, I couldn't wait to get home, well back to Tom's house. Simon collected me in the Saab and I was glad he'd somehow managed to acquire an air cushion.
Chapter 10: Hurricane Kirk has blown out the lights, trashed the house and flooded their lives with grief. Kim blames herself, but there's still a way to make her brother whole. The mask must come off. After what Kirk has done to her, will it?
I had spent a night getting used to the sounds of hospital. I was still dozy and drifted in and out of sleep. My groin didn't feel much different, in fact I couldn't feel much at all, which I hoped was just down to painkillers, morphine and friends.
The coloured lights were flashing and the bomp; bomp of the music was entering my very soul. Pinball Wizard reverberated around the confined area of the discothá¨que and Roger Daltrey’s incredibly loud vocals was making my head spin.
I was sitting on my bed feeling sorry for myself and anger for Simon. He had come up once and I had thrown him out, not literally, he's too big for that. But he didn't stay to hear my tongue lashing, can't say I blame him.
"What do you mean?" I asked
"You know, the clothes and stuff," she said referring to the female outfit she had persuaded me to wear.
"It's totally weird, I hope I don't get found out" I responded
We went back to bed about four, Simon was fast asleep and tempting as it was to put my cold feet on him, I resisted and just cuddled into him. Before I dropped off, he'd spooned into the back of me and had his arm around me. It was very comforting.
Eleven-year-old Steven Brooks has spent one full week living as a girl. So far, Stephanie has been enjoying wearing pretty clothes and experiencing life from the other side to its fullest. In this installment, Stephanie sees some of the darker side of being a boy in frills and dresses. Not everyone understands. (There’s also some religion in here, but please don’t think I’m trying to tell you what to believe; I’m just trying to describe what some of the people in Stephanie’s church believe.)
I woke up nestled against Meredith’s breast. She must have pulled me against her last night. I kissed her breast and gently removed myself from her embrace. Another good round of sleep, I could get used to this. I was even used to how nightgowns occasionally tangled my legs. It was all so different but so comfortable at this point.
My heartfelt thanks to Kris for giving this the once over for me, making me think and ending this the way it should be ended.
Hopefully now, these poor folk can stop trundling round and round in circles and can finally put their feet on dry land. It's been entirely too long coming and the retail outlets on board ran out of Sea-sickness tablets around Christmas, so well, without further ado...
I looked up at the second floor, and saw a girl's face in one of the windows. She looked directly into my eyes, but she didn't move or wave. I was so startled, at first I couldn't tell the others, but when I did, the girl was gone.
What Maisie Knew: A Marcie Donner Story, by Kaleigh Way
Saturday morning. For most it would be a lazy day.... a day off, but not for her. This was the height of her working week and she had planned for it. Today was the day when the money poured in.
Chapter 9: Kirk's come back, unwanted but undeterred. He's come to take back what he believes is his. What's to stop him? Kim is after all, alone in the house.
That sounds like a tall order but the Denver Triplets and the Akins Quads are far from ordinary and their lives are about to change in ways they could never imagine.
