CHAPTER 27
The rest of the lunch was kept deliberately neutral, by unspoken mutual consent. We had each dropped our little pebbles into the water, and the ripples were spreading in interference patterns.
The ambulance had arrived, and when they saw how bad the injury was, they had to immediately stop the bleeding. They put a pressure bandage on it, and taped it with surgical tape. They got the child on the gurney, and in to the ambulance. With sirens wailing, they left for the hospital only two miles away.

Eddie Bloomberg is trying to deal with life after his change, wondering if he made a mistake when he decided to help Cassie and trying to deal with the ramifications of that decision.
The house itself was something I had only ever seen in movies before. I knew that my family lived in a nice house that would get us a pretty penny if we ever sold it, but this place put to shame the home I'd known my entire life. I was really intimidated as I stepped out of my car and approached the front door. I really wished I had Mom and Dad, or even Emily or Ethan with me to help keep me from turning and running away.

A new story in Xoop's Changing Room Universe:
High school is about learning who you are and how you fit in...
Fitting In
This is light little story inspired by Xoop's 'Changing for Gym' at Big Closet. It could be considered a sequel of sorts, but is actually more of a stand alone story set in the same place. I do make use of Xoop's setting, and a few of his characters (School officials, Jessica Woodruff(in a supporting kind of role) and of course, Hill Street High School.
I have also, quite shamelessly, taken Xoop's intro verbatim just to maintain continuity, with apologies to the original author. But I just couldn't come up with anything better. The rest of the story is completely my own and I'll take whatever blame or kudos come my way for it.
Now, on to the story....
Barney came out of his coma on Saturday November 3, eight days after the accident. Finding his jaw wired closed upset him, but when he discovered his arm was missing he flipped out and they had to sedate him. It took three days until he was able to accept the fact he'd lost his left arm. All in all, his injuries thoroughly destroyed what little self esteem he possessed. As far as he was concerned, his life was over.

Was kissing me…
He’s never kissed me like this before; on the job he was never this good. I’ve got the bible still in my hands and he’s kissing me. His tongue is playing naughty things with mine and he’s kissing me like he used to study scrolls with Venus.

Chapter 13 Is life getting better or not?
Mum panicked as usual, ‘Who could that be at this time, it’s 11-30pm?’
‘Hello, Yes Christine is here, who is speaking please?...James? Is it about work?’
I cringed and rushed to take the telephone ‘it’s OK mum it’s James, I met him last weekend at the hen night. Don’t worry he’s just a friend’
idea: Sometimes our prayers are answered in unexpected ways. Write a story in which the character's change is brought about by an act of the deity of your choice.
