What has happed to the home page with mauve background and blue writing its impossible to read, also impossible to read the stories which are black writing on a mauve dotted background

When I go to read comments/blogs, the background changes to a dark purple with black printing except for the items one can click on showing as bright blue.

It's very hard to read and look at. Is it me or is it a change in the appearance of the background and stuff? Usually the background is white with black print.

For the last week and a half I’ve been encountering a really weird bug. At first I thought it was because of all the changes that had been going on with the server and whatnot so I didn’t think much of it at first. Now however It’s just starting to get annoying. Basically what is happening is that you login and have the persistent login enabled but when you move to another page say after reading a story for a period of time, it forces you to log into your account again even though you had the persistent login enabled.

So here we are, at the middle, well almost the middle, of December and once again I'm appealing to all of you to open your hearts and wallets (purses) to help pay some of the bills that Top Shelf generates.

I've been taken to task for my admittedly flowery language when pleading for monetary assistance to help keep the site somewhat solvent and I won't apologize for the language I use, nor for the endless appeals. The way I write is the way I write.

OK, I'm confused. The front page seems to have undergone a major reformatting? Is this intentional? Or is it some sort of glitch.

It's extremely (IMNSHO) more difficult to find the content you want. And the sidebar listing of blog postings is gone, but not the comments. I much prefer the recent blog post in the sidebar.

I thought I'd take a break from our regularly scheduled programing and do something a little special for Halloween. Yesterday, I rewrote 'Devil's Due' one of my old Mixed Tape Entries. It's more than double the length of the original and best of all the new version is now considered part of the official canon for my meridian-verse.

Taking a break from the comic book to work on the book cover. It's the scene on Logan's Fun where 11 is getting off the elevator and seeing the inside of the station for the fist time. From the worm eye you can see her in her dress, as she looks at the atrium in the station for the first time.

I'm going for a juxtaposition between the mundane (girl in sun dress) and the fantastic (space station). Should look pretty fucking cool.

I'm having a rush of senior moments or the rest of the world is.

I am scheduled to move to my new address, (about seven miles away) tomorrow and Virgin, my internet broadband supplier phoned on Friday to tell me they can't reconnect me on Wednesday as promised. (They have problems with their cables and junction boxes, as if I care,) and will have to dig up the road so I won't be back on line for 12 to 15 weeks!

So it's goodbye Virgin and I've signed up with a company that heads the 'Which' internet provider list and they have scheduled me for 12 working days.

I Need Suggestions for Email Providers, to replace ones I can no longer access.

I lost several email addresses for various reasons. One reason was, they had possibles security breach, and to get back in they send you a link to an alternate email My problem was that the alternate one has the same problem, and they point to each other, so I can't recover them. Doh!

My life has gone through many recent changes.

I sold another business and am now semi-retired which has dropped my income by two-thirds -- at least until I can get more consulting work.

We bought an old house (1906) and are doing extensive remodeling.

Although I have limited current resources for contributing money to BC, I am buying quite a lot of remodeling supplies on Amazon and using the link you provided. Yesterday's purchases included the kitchen sink! Hopefully, since our purchases are adding up to a large total, BC will receive a nice commission.

You have a problem, go through the infinite maze of button pushing, and maybe -- just maybe (say as the world as we know is ending) -- you might luck up and reach a human voice -- the LAST PERSON ON EARTH (from Outer Mongolia). However, s/he will not understand your language at all, and you will be placed on hold for a moment -- your last thought as you lose your grip on reality will be "I only wanted to get my (cell phone / car / computer / etc.) to work.

While reading I often encounter errors. Does the Author want to know? Has someone else already reacted? I want to help, but maybe the author doesn't want help, in which case, I don't want to impose on the author. And, I don't want to divert my attention far from the story I am reading.

Well the new year has started. We've attracted new readers and new authors. Some are seasoned writers and others are first timers. I encourage both. However there is a dark side. That's the loss of data.

When uploading a picture, we're given the option of generating a thumbnail. I want to include a thumbnail in my story so that when the user clicks on it, the normal-sized picture is uploaded, which is the typical use for a thumbnail..

I've been messing with html and can do it if I put a link to the main picture from a title beneath the thumbnail. But I'm not certain how to link the thumbnail itself to the main picture. (It's worth saying I haven't much used html for 15 years, so I'm quite rusty!)

Is there an easy way to use thumbnails on this site?

This is just a note to let you know that we are getting ready to release some new features and upgrades to BigCloset. Some of these upgrades have been attempted in the past and broke a lot of our custom changes to the front page.

So it is entirely possible they will break again, but I promise you I will be working just as fast as possible to get everything working again.

Unfortunately while I've tried to put off these upgrades because of the havoc they may cause, they have recently become urgent.

We didn't offer any great sales. We didn't run much advertising. We didn't even do anything different than we normally would, however #SmallBusinessSaturday was a huge Success for QnEZ and Janglewood, llc.
