Hey, I Made Some Things!

This was originally posted on my website, but I thought I'd share it here too.

Okay, so I've been working on my Ragnarok Rising rewrite, mainly on days where I'm not feeling particularly inspired with Legacy of Earth and yesterday I was just not very productive for writing in general. So, I made the cover art which you can find below.

Merry Christmas!

This is a slightly modified version of a blog that was posted on my website.

Well, let my just start off by saying, there will not be any Legacy of Earth for the next two weeks, with Christmas and New Years two weekends in a row, I just don't think I'll have the time or desire to edit the next couple parts.

Sorry.

01 - Legacy of Earth: Birthright - Ghost Ship

Well, it's been a while since I started Legacy of Earth. I will be posting this in larger chunks at least until I get through the first 100k words. I hope you all enjoy!

Small SD cards.

I seem to recall one or two people here that used SD cards in their e-reader or something similar, but they had to be very small.

I'm cleaning up a lot of my computer parts and supplies, and I've found a small stack of 128 and 256 MB SD cards (and a single 512 mini SD card). They're too small for my needs, and I still have a 1 GB micro-sd card I can put in an adapter if I need one.

So, if you have a need for small SD cards, drop me a line; I'll delete or mark this as 'completed' once I have someone or multiple someones that can use them.

Question for the computer savvy

Last night charter internet's free anti viral program f-secure loaded something called security extension on my computer. It needs to be activated. Do I want to do that and why? As far as I can understand the little they say about it it is an electronic nanny but there is little plain English information available .

Picture file getting cluttered.

In my 15 years 11 months here on BCTS, I uploaded many pictures. Right now, I'm involved in Melanie E./Rasufelle’s One Dozen Roses project. I've taken on the task of collating and formatting the collection. Counting the 12 stories and the cover, that means I'm adding a large group of photos as I submit things to the group.

I am not an Author

I am not an Author only a reader who enjoys reading the work of those talented people who post on BC. Every time I go to BC's web site I notice the Hatbox status bar and wonder how few times it has obtained its monthly goal. BC's admin has posted requests asking for us to contribute to help meet the finical obligations that are necessary in running this site. I notice on the left side of the main page there are several options available to us readers to contribute to BC. I have used the "One-TIme GIft" a few times in the past but I am not a fan of PAYPAL so I looked into becoming a PATRON.

Gender Counseling in Utah?(revised)

Edited

Well, it looks like online counseling may not be the way to go :(

Apparently, a lot of online counselors won't give letters of recommendation for hrt online because they can't visit with patients face to face. If I ever decided to go on hormones that would be a hindrance. I can understand ethics behind such a thing and wouldn't blame them for that choice.

Of Masks And Marvels and Sapphire's Place.

Does ANYONE know what happened to Sapphire's Place? Is she okay?

Does anyone know if there are more chapters of "Of Masks And Marvels" than are listed at Whately? I've read all 28 that are posted and hoping to find more...or the rest?

Cathy.

PayPal Problems.

Hello out there,

It's me again, and do I have a story for you.

So two weeks ago I got my stimulus check and was really excited to finally have the cash to be able to get my book edited.

I remembered that PayPal had a check cashing service that puts the money directly into your account. I'm excited so I log into the app click the cash check option, take pictures of my check, and select the free same-day option. <----(this comes in to play later)

About 20 minutes later the transaction comes back as declined.

Duck Duck Go search engine prevented from giving a discription

I use Duck Duck Go as a search engine. I did a search on T. D. Aldoennetti and the following turned up:

bigclosetr.us
https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/author/t-d-aldoennetti
We would like to show you a description here but the site won't allow us.

Does the Big Closet website really deny Duck Duck Go from displaying a description? Clicking the link took me to T. D. Aldoennetti's author page

Authors and sites MIA

Sapphire's place is down. Has been for several days now. Is she okay?

G.M. Shephard, the author who wrote the great series "Angel", never finished the story and seemingly vanished late in 2013. I emailed her but got no response. The email went through since I didn't get a rejection from the mailer daemon but no response yet.

Anyone know anything about these two?

Sorry for the downtime.

Yesterday when beginning a new project, we introduced an error that caused intermittent errors over-night. We managed to track down the issue before noon, but decided to then do regular Drupal module updates. Un-beknownst to us, these updates introduced several new issues and errors that caused even worse outages that were not very apparent to us.

New cover images for Legacy of Earth!

Since, I decided to resume work on Legacy of Earth, after The Fall of Kruhl, I started looking at the cover art and decided to revamp the images for the entire series (plus the universe).

You can view the full-size images (and their captions) on my website. I love doing this sort of stuff and I hope you all enjoy them :)

Frick on a stick

Well, it seems the power supply in my desktop decided to go kaput. And because I cheaped out and bought a refurbished one (a fact for which I am rather irritated with myself over), I can't send it in for a warranty replacement. Good news is, I have a perfectly functional laptop, which I've connected to both my monitors, mechanical keyboard and trackball (it's similar to a mouse), so I can still write while I wait for the new power supply. I don't foresee any problems getting the next part of The Fall of Kruhl up Saturday morning, but at this point I'm not making any guarantees.

Sextortion scammer emails

Today I received two extortion e-mails that claimed to have proof of me visiting a pornographic site and demanded a $2000.00 bitcoin payment within 24-48 hrs, or the content and videos of me from my webcam would be shared with my contact list. They revealed an old password that was previously used as a login to a website to prove they had information from my computer and browser history. The whole letter was B*** S***.

A friend of mine received a few of the same demands over the last few days

This is a complete scam so if you receive something similar ignore it.

Story Universe Name Update

Hey, all!

Just thought I'd take a moment and thank all of you who made suggestions in my 'Story Universe Name Dilemma' blog. I'm now leaning toward The Alluring Legends Universe, which I know is completely different than pretty much all the suggestions, but just having said suggestions got the creative juices flowing and sparked an idea or two.

So thank you!

Well... crap

Well, it appears the ssd in my Mac mini is failing. Good news is, most of my files are backed up (including all my stories... phew). Mainly the files I stand to loose are master images related to my website, and, while I would be rather bummed to loose them, they're nothing I can't recreate. I am attempting to recover them, but we'll see how that turns out.
