Colin creeped through the EZ-pass lane onto the Chesapeake Bay bridge. He swerved around a minivan crammed with beach paraphernalia whose driver was too distracted by screeching kids to move when a gap opened in front of him. He automatically cursed all the Balti-morons who created summer traffic hell in his rural stretch of Maryland nestled between the bay and the ocean resort towns. Especially on his homeward commute after a grueling workday. On Friday afternoon. On the Fourth of July weekend.

It's one year to the day since I published my first story on BCTS. By way of celebration, here's something a little different from my usual fare, also in response to one of the Melanie Ezell challenges (Who I am).

So I went a little over the word limit on this one. Frankly my dears, I don't give a sh... hang on, that's not right...

It is a bit of a disjointed ramble this, but I hope it sparks off a few ideas. Please remember in reading it that it is never my intention to be hurtful, and if there is anything in this offering that rubs raw, please accept my apologies and assurance that I never meant it that way.

Bob has passed away. We however are still here. Whomever is able to help out, please let Erin know - ASAP - I know Bob did a HUGE amount of work behind the scenes for Big Closet and other sites.
He set up and tested newer versions of the software that funs this site and Stardust...he just did so much to help out and will be sorely missed even by the visitors here who don't have a clue as to he was or what he did around here.

Part Eight

When I awoke I was lying in a hospital bed, that wouldn`t have been so bad but I couldn`t move I had been strapped down onto the bed.

What the hell was going on? why was I here? I hadn`t been sick or injured so what was going on. I could only move my head slightly from to side to side and noticed a drip that appeared to inserted into my body. I had no feeling anywhere the only sesations I had was sight, sound and smell.

Synopsis:   After spending the last four days in the hospital, I was finally released. I was ready to face whatever life was going to throw at me. Thanks to Anthony and Janice, I was also ready to stop playing the victim, and stand up to my birth parents. It would be hard, and also scary, but I needed closure on that part of my life.

They say you can forgive anyone, but the truth is, you can never really forget. I could forgive my birth parents for the crap that they put me through, but some scars run too deep, especially the emotional ones.

The next week life went on as usual, we held a couple of meetings to find out what we needed to try and trade for and what we had to trade with, I was amazed at what was available it seems that during the winter everyone had been busy with whatever skill they had.

Well the news from Kate had been a shock and I wanted to respect Kate’s request to keep it secret but I was aching already to tell somebody.

I felt that it was difficult since in my situation I realized just what it was like to feel like everybody was looking at me and talking about me. I knew it was my imagination but it was affecting my confidence and I could see why Jessica might react badly if she was the subject of gossip.

Working his way up the ladder was going well up to a point, and a feminist co-worker might be about to pull the rug out from under him. Will success elude him or will he just need to trade in his suit and tie for something a little softer. It seems she had a plan for just that.
