The bus rumbled closer and was slowing down to our stop. I felt a twinge of fear as I realized my test of passing as a girl in front of the people I had to go to school with every day was upon me.

The doors opened and I just gulped as I took my first step up onto it. Mrs. Uttman, our driver, looked speechless as she looked me up and down as if I was some oddity. I felt a little queasy and just grabbed the first seat pole and finished pulling myself up into the aisle.

“Well Good Morning to you Lynn! My My! You look wonderful today! It’s about time you decided to be who you really are.”

I blushed furiously as I knew a lot of the other kids on the bus heard her and even now they were all looking at me in bewilderment. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard her say. SHE thought I had been a girl all along! Omigod! Did Lynn the boy ever really exist?

Sometimes, a Cliché is just a Cliché...
 

Billy took a deep breath and slowly lifted his t-shirt.

“How long has your chest looked like that?!?” his mother drilled him. She beheld two small mounds on either side of his chest. That gentle swelling was a telltale sign that breasts were on their way.
 

 
For ten years, I had been going to the same cafe for lunch. I ordered the same thing, served the same way all the time. Occasionally I had changed my routine a little and gotten something else, or eaten there on the weekend, but most times it was the same old same thing every day.

Today the cafe burned to the ground.

Dana Miller has a problem. Actually two problems. His mother has been savagely raped and brutalized causing her to revert to a childlike state. The other problem is his body; he’s becoming more female at a startling pace.

With mixed feelings, I say, “I don’t know how this will all end, but yes, I will do my best to put away Boy Chris and become Girl Tina. This means that I must stop thinking of you as my girlfriend, Laurie. That’s the hardest part of all and will take sometime to implement. We’ll have to make some modifications to our ground rules for this to happen. You will have to treat me just like any other girl and I will need to behave like one. I just hope that we can make the transition back to what we had when this is over at the end of the summer but I’ll try not to worry about that until the time comes.”

Laurie and I embrace each other with tears that could either be happiness for our new relationship or sorrow for the one we are giving up. They could be mix of both. It is hard to say.
