Chapter 13

Chris' POV

I watched Stacy stride purposefully towards the slimebag, while Jordan phoned the police and explained the situation. They would need an ambulance as well. That woman was not looking in a good way.

“I'm surprised you didn't notice before I pointed it out,” I commented to Jordan.

“Like every telepath, you learn to treat the thoughts like white noise and ignore it. It's easier with more people about you. I'm glad it doesn't bother you.”

Chapter Four – Jaylene

Mitch Freeman decides to remove the only person who can identify him: Jaylene Foster while Penelope and Jaylene make a surprising attachment. Steve continues his hunt for the man who is stalking trans women and murdering them.

Charlie begins to find an 'in' to start to solve the conspiracy investigations. One of his prisoners might be amenable.

Chapter 5

Susan's POV

I wasn't quite sure what to think. I had no doubts that both Chris and Talia believed that Chris was going to be transformed and my experience with them never suggested any mental instability. If it wasn't for the clear evidence of superpowers in the world generally and seeing a much younger Chris turn up at my door I would have had him committed. As it was I was beginning to believe it was going to happen.

“Sixteen hours?” I asked Talia.

Chapter 3

There was no light bulb moment that I was ready for my power to reach the next level, it was just when I looked again at the foreign virus DNA that was incorporating itself into Chris DNA and wanted to change it, my gift agreed with me. It wasn't as simple as just deleting it, my DNA needed certain base pairs to be in certain points or the complex DNA folding that occurred on a macro and micro level would go wrong. My understanding was sufficient to change the sequencing to nonsense whilst keeping the overall structure.

Okay, I know I wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. And, yes I know the title of this little tale is in very poor English. I’m a bit smarter now, and actually have two college degrees, but they didn’t come easily.

Chapter 7b

Running into his arms, I burst into tears. He chuckled and held me for a long few moments. I can’t begin to describe how totally comforting it felt. Then I felt one of his arms leave me. The next thing I knew Sammie was also being hugged by my dad. He even kissed her forehead!

“Oh daddy…” I sobbed…happily. “It’s so good to see you.”

Back at the apartment..

"You go take a shower, Miley, and remember to shave, everything below the belt."

"Everything?" I ask with a pleading look on my face.

"Everything," Abby commands leaving to our bedroom.

"Okay, time to hit the gym, big boy," Abby says, suddenly getting up to her feet from the couch.

"Can we skip this tonight?" I ask without much faith I'll get the answer I want.

"No, don't be lazy it's only the second day. Get up, I got you something." Abby sashays to our table, where she set down the bag she got from the mall. Abby pulls out a black garment, and tosses it in my direction.

I catch, and hold it up, "Are these.. leggings?"

Sam had a night he would never forget, a lifelong transvestite he had taken advantage of his wife’s supposed absence to venture out for the first time dressed as his alter-ego Samantha. He was in a gay bar enjoying himself when in walked his wife in the arms of what appeared to be her girlfriend. Devastated at finding out his wife was a lesbian. He took to drinking to help deal with the reality of the situation.
