The next several days were chaotic; too say the least. Allie and I managed to get an appointment with a Doctor Weintraub. She was evidently the partner of Doctor Gotlieb and as expert in the field. She too belonged to ‘the club’ and we were squeezed into her very busy schedule upon using Susan’s name.

Part Seventeen

Once again, I was the outsider protecting magical types as they worked on something so esoteric they couldn't adequately describe it to me. I had thought I would be left out of this stage - Fen had even told me after Oak Island that my part was over - but multiple factors had conspired to change that situation. Not least of them the location they had picked. It turned out that Fen hadn't known who now owned the land where they wanted to perform their spell.

Apologies for the time away. Classes have been stupid. You could say this short update serves as a 'I haven't forgotten this story' chapter and I look forward to writing the rest of it as soon as I come into some free time. Michael's punishment begins in such a small way, but we all know what little acorns turn into.

I made this story back when I was a wee boy in about, I think, sophomore year of high school. The reason why this story was never finished is that I ended up finding out that I am a girl, not a guy. So, queue the dysphoria and severe levels of depression. I'm interested if anyone wants me to reinvent the story to make it more interesting. Somehow I still have the ideas and plans for this story. By the way, this story is not done and the original will probably never be created.

It was convenient to find ourselves in an area of the building replete with cafés, restaurants, and so forth.

We had five floors worth of shops from which to choose a suitable venue, and Sierra took her merry time deciding on her choice.

That meant wandering around for a while past the various food outlets.

With a veiled sullen look, I followed behind Sierra and Maria, and was kept company by Tabitha who was looking about with disinterest.

The caller ID told me who was behind the ring. I sighed, considered not answering, then sighed again and picked up the receiver.

"I assume you're not calling about the latest political mess," I said. I was glad Sievers was safe, and feeling rather afraid about what those who had ordered her seized might do next. However, Fen would say that was all fugitive and outside our mission purview, and we needed to focus on our own, longer-term tasks.

Another month goes by, and things have only gotten better. Last night we went to the restaurnt that Bobby took
us too before, again. When Bobby told momma about he and mom getting married, she was overjoyed. She was also
impressed by the ring Bobby gave her.

At one point just before we left the cafe, momma took Bobby aside and had an animated discussion. Whatever they
were talking about, it was very important to momma that Bobby needed to do something, and very soon.

Peter came into the office precisely at nine. I had already had my coffee with Rhona and, although we had a great gossip session regarding one of the artist’s new boyfriends, I told her nothing of my weekend discussions or decisions. I was still very frightened by the entire thing and I didn’t think she could provide any help in alleviating my fears.
