The second to last part in this "book", we get to see a little more of Nick and Jess and how things are going on Earth.

This is a story set in the 1800’s about a family that has lost every family member except the youngest son and his twin sister. Then his sister dies of smallpox and he manages to persuade his mother to let him become his deceased sister. I realise that the language of the time is difficult to read (and difficult to write) so I have done an amalgam of vernacular (probably not grammatically correct.)

The three newly blonde bullies and their mothers meet with Dr. Bettencourt, aka The Wizard. The mothers want the best for their bad boys, as long as the boys really want it. Guess what? Two more conspirators drop out.

“Stop crying!” The middle-aged man barks as the electric clippers shear my head clean of the hair I’d been growing over the last twelve months. I gulp and blink my eyes, but as lock after lock of light blonde hair tumbles in front of my face, I can’t control my emotions. My life, just my hair, is tumbling down in front of me.

Once the haircut is complete, I look at myself in the mirror and I want to scream. Looking back at me is undoubtedly the face of a pre-teen boy. A pre-teen boy with a cute face, but a boy nonetheless.

Introduction: Our four protagonists finally meet. It doesn’t take long for them to determine that there is something very serious going on, and that their parents are deeply involved. The question is why. The SRU Wizard has to be involved somehow.

The group of conspirators loses a member. They don’t take it lightly.

Chapter 35 - A period of 'amore'

The next day was Daisy's day off so she and Linda watched TV together, both wearing almost identical peignoir sets, Daisy's in bright pink, Linda's in stark black. They were shod in mid-heeled mules. Sometime in the afternoon, the phone rang and Linda took the call. After listening for a few minutes, she said, "She'll be there whether she wants to or not."

Daisy knew that he was the subject of the conversation, but he couldn't imagine who could be calling, certainly not Ivan.
