The honky-tonk roadhouse was rocking when she rolled up on the vintage hog. She walked the motorcycle back towards the stairway that led down from the front door and porch. Taking the mirrored aviator shade off, she surveyed the area for people standing around and spotted only two. They were on either side of the entrance. Both were over six two and looked like they had played linemen on the local community college football team.

Chapter 19. The Battle

Stone realized that he was in battle mode. He looked around as he pulled Pate, and saw a wireframe in the distance. It was red, a sign that it was an imminent danger to him. He soon realized that it was a dragon, breathing fire as it swooped around the fields of the farm they were passing. A gust of fire hit the thatch of the barn, and it caught fire.

Tyler tried not to squirm as he headed home from school on the chilly January morning, even though he knew what was waiting for him when he got there. It had been no ordinary Tuesday at school- then again, few days were 'ordinary' for the sixteen year old boy.

After a long hiatus, a group of eccentric superheroes reunite in Paragon City. Some changes take a long time to happen, some are sudden, some are more permanent, and one of the heroes is about to find out how true that is. It is a story of change and redemption.

[One month after Maxine had received that letter upon their return from France]

“Hello, I’m Maxine Saunders. I have an appointment with Dr Hillier at 2:30,” said Maxine.
She was the offices of a doctor just off of Harley St. Adrian had insisted that she do her transition properly but privately. Today was her first visit to the Psychologist who would supposedly help her transition.

“Dr Hillier is a little behind schedule today. Please take a seat. She should be ready to see you in ten minutes. Please take a seat,” said the receptionist.

It was my stag party last night and I’d just come to with my hands tied together. The lousy bastards that did this are supposed to be friends of mine.

So. Bobbie was still at work. It was August 26 already - just a few minutes after midnight. Back home in the States, it would be just past noon of August 25. Great. Just enough time.

Bobbie had hurried to wrap her once-a-month Sunday morning videoconference with the company's higher-ups scheduled for the last Sunday of the month (so no employees would be around), but since Bobbie was on the other side of the world, that meant it was Monday evening for her, and since they usually extended these meetings to just before noon, for them that is, then...

Normally, she wouldn't have minded, and her wife of over six years was understanding and knew these once-a-month meetings get extended all the time, but this was a special Monday for Bobbie - it was her tenth-year anniversary as a member in her favorite site, BigCloset Topshelf, and she wanted to post something on the site to commemorate this "momentous" occasion (she giggled at her use of the word), but she hadn't written it yet. That was why she was antsy, and was waiting impatiently for the meeting to end, so she could start writing it.

Raven glance at her image being reflected at her from the mirror. She almost didn’t recognize the pretty girl looking back at her. Her shoulder-length black hair framed her angelic face. The dress she was wearing, was one her and Clair had picked out together. It showed off her curves and her full breasts.

The silver cross that Mrs. Mercer had given her, hung almost to her cleavage. She takes a deep breathe ad center herself. Today was the day she was going to the events in the park with Clair. She grabs her favorite purse, which didn’t go with her dress at all.

It has been a year since Karina changed her race.
Slowly a new normal has established itself.
But the idyllic life won't last long as a promise by her soon requires another from Karina.
