They’ve spread out a blanket underneath a shade tree and have brought with them a basket full of sandwiches, fresh fruit, cold soda, and assorted other goodies.

CHAPTER 5
Wednesday was my first day back at work, and thankfully it was quiet for an early turn. Den was now back at work, on day shifts and light duties, which at least allowed me to dump odd bits of paperwork on him.

Synopsis: After Andrew is released from the hospital, Janice takes him home and helps him become Jessica for the first time. Now that Jessica is finally free she intends to make Andrew a distant memory, and with the help of her friends she intends to build the life that she has always dreamed of having.

Tinker handed me an electronic tablet. As I read it, my eyes grew wide. I looked up at Tinker.

“You mean to tell me that Jonnie has been suspended down there in a pod for three years.”

After three days of rest Garia is ready to restart her new existence. She discovers more about palace routine before dropping more bombshells at the next meeting of the Council of the Two Worlds.
