Is Late Better than Never? Chapter 6

Is Late Better than Never? Chapter 6
by Lily Rasputin

I honestly wasn’t the least bit surprised to learn that the club Maddie’s parents belonged to happened to be the ritziest, most expensive, and most exclusive one in Greensboro.

Pulling the Beemer into an empty spot not too far from the oversized putting green, I stared at the massive structure that was a living testament to wealth and privilege. As Mike, I had only been here once, at a gala charity fundraiser that one of the senior partners of Kelly’s firm was hosting.

The Last Greek Class (Reformatted)

The Last Greek Class

Ancient Greek… an unusual subject nowadays, and even unusual back then… it was compulsory, along with Latin for the “Honours” class up to Inter Certificate (Intercert), and optional thereafter for Leaving Certificate (Leavingcert). And I took the option, even though I wasn’t that good with languages; it was reputed to be an “easy honour” and I needed this to get the state grant to help with college. We were to be the last Greek Class in our School as Greek teachers were becoming hard to find.

A hero's cape flaps in the breeze, half a continent away a villain hatches a fiercely stupid plan...

When the villains start tripping over their own feet, the heroes should be able to lean back and enjoy some slack time.
But it doesn't quite work that way...

Cornucopia

Coeds 5; New Opportunities

The latest adventure of Jirra Reid and her friends.

This story was started with the assistance of Robert Arnold. He was more than just editor; he gave me input on the characters and plot lines. He also honored me by allowing the use of his wonderful character Jen Stevens. Due to Bob’s passing, we were unable to complete the story together. To honor Bob’s memory I decided to finish the story based on the outlines we discussed. He was a great friend and mentor and I will miss him. This story is dedicated to his memory. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

We walked into the Lingerie and Foundation Garment store, the owner came over and greeted mum like an old friend, I didn`t know they had gone to school together and hadn`t seen each other for 14 years.

After a couple of minutes she asked if she could help mum.

"I need a Bra fitting" said mum

"If you`ll go into the changing booth I`ll measure you" said the woman

"Oh it`s not for me, it`s for my son" said mum

A Change in My Life’ ~ Chapter 5

A Change in my Life.
Chapter 5
By
Julie D Cole
Sally Crewe

I managed to stay awake for a while and it was nice to know Chrissy was close by and several times that night I felt her lightly squeezing my hand.

I don’t know how long Chrissy stayed that night but when I woke up I was in a private room that had windows and blinds. The nurse told me that Chrissy had gone and would come back later because my mother and her partner had arrived and since I was asleep they’d gone to have some breakfast.

I was sad because my feeling was that Chrissy had gone out of the way.

Starship 15

Some more, slightly boring I'm afraid. And new, may have to correct some of it. Mostly mine ideas, but as far as I know, correct. And although there is a lot more to be said about the physics, behind physics, we won't, for now. And if you're one of those thinking of 'time' in terms of thermodynamics, I do expect a mail in where you ever so patiently explain where I go wrong questioning those ideas :)

Anyway, it's kind'a for the 'hardcore SF fan' probably.
Or those interested in 'time'.

Anyway.
Bear with me.

Nearnia - The Line Which Was In The Wardrobe

Nearnia - The Line Which Was In The Wardrobe

by Maeryn Lamonte

This was going to be my entry for Melanie Ezell's big closet ultimate writer's challenge — To be continued... but it was too hard to stop. Besides it's more than twice the prescribed length, so it most likely wouldn't count.

It's raining. Lucas is bored. He finds and old wardrobe and steps into it, and we all know that magical places can be found at the back of old wardrobes.

A Letter to My Step-Father

A letter to my step father

Dear Ken,

I had the urge to write to you, to finally end the hold you have on my soul. You caused me a lot of pain, back in the day, and its long past time for me to deal with it. In some ways, you had the odds stacked against you from the day you came into our lives. You were being asked to replace my fallen father, and instead of a couple of normal kids, you were saddled with one mentally wounded boy, and me - a broken human being stuck between genders.

Salut d'Amour

Salut d'Amour

Listening to Elgar's piece this morning, I thought it sounded very lyrical. Unable to find any sung versions other than this cute K-pop version, I hit upon the idea of writing a TG-themed set of lyrics to the tune. The first lyric came pretty quickly - I apologise for the second - there aren't many words that rhyme with "am"! Verse 2 was written during a quiet helpdesk session this afternoon, and the bridge this evening.

I've tried to keep as close to the tune as possible, although it does get a little tenuous at times (the tune's bridge deviates from uniformity towards the end, as does the final verse). Anyway, enough waffling, on with the lyrics...

Chapter 29

I was more than a little bit nervous having the press coming here so I could get the questions and stuff over with maybe. Everyone kind of helped with setting up things with moving the tables and getting everything situated so we could get through this. I’ll admit I’m scared of what the questions might be and the fallout that might come out of all of this but. As much as I’ve changed there are sometimes when the best defense is a good offence.

The End

The End
By

I`m ready now , got my best dress and new lingerie on, I sit down and take up my journal continuing where I left off.

I'm writing this while I'm still able to think clearly, I know I don`t have long to go but felt that I needed to do this.

I`m living in the middle of nowhere in a weather worn and well used tent, my two loyal companions ,dogs Badger and Georgia died yesterday, they`d been with me since they were pups 16yrs ago.

I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Baby

Adrenaline surged...daring every sensory organ in my body to absorb the tiniest nuances of my first day out in public dressed as a woman. I touched the velvety skin on my wife's arm. "I'm so lucky!"

"Lucky?" Nicole shook her head in obvious bewilderment. "You've always wanted to be a woman," she had accurately said nearly eight months ago.
