This was originally post over on the Crystal Hall in 2009. I figured it was appropriate to repost here.

You find the Christmas spirit in the oddest places. As Christmas break approached, many devisors and gadgeteers put aside their regular projects to start working on something more seasonally "appropriate".

The Faithful, North African and Middle Eastern Islamic nations, are plotting to seize the oil resources of the Middle East. By controlling the earth's oil and its major trade routes, they plan to bring the world to its knees. Then, when the entire world is kneeling, the Faithful of Allah will read to them from the Koran, preaching the message of Islam, the True Faith. The Faithful will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. But how far will they go? And how many lives will it cost?

Surprise! New ideas strike at the oddest times; mainly when I'm already working on four stories. So here it is, thrown up from my brain to your eyes.

Now to be honest, I'm not sure what tags apply here. It seems to qualify for a few, but really doesn't. I don't know, but it'll be interesting I suppose. Story starts right off, enjoy.

The Pentagon called the Governor’s Military office, repeatedly, then the General called your CO at Moffett Field, and then your CO called me. As of 0800 today, you have been federalized.”

A young man, feeling totally unwanted by his family, runs away. He needs to find a way to survive, and eventually, he stumbles into an Op Rescue clinic.
Paige is taking steps to overcome her past, but not everything is working out as planned. Meanwhile, her pregnancy is progessing well, and she has a new friend in her mentor, someone very familiar with what she's doing.
