A comic retelling of the story of Romeo and Juliet using a transcript that Dawn purportedly found in a public library. Witnesses to their final days include an unlucky cat burglar, the inventor of the tampon, a polysexual page, a lecherous prince, a transsexual nurse, a hair fetishist, a necrophilic nun etc. It turns out that Romeo and Juliet died virgins as a result of being even more star-crossed as lovers than Shakespeare admitted.

...I knew what had happened. As one of the cops approached me and started to speak to me, I heard not a single word. I merely saw his mouth move as tears began to fall from my eyes.

I remember little else from that evening other than finding myself in my old room, now occupied by Corie, and Kate alongside me in the bed. Owen and Meg were gone. We would never be able to speak, or touch, or laugh, or cry with them again. My life, and Kate’s, as we knew it, had come to a most bitter end.

Chapter 1
"Excuse me, Miss." I waited for her reply. "I'm sorry, young man, but I'm in a bit of a hurry." "Can I help?" I asked, as I bent down to help her gather up several folders she had dropped. "Thank you," she smiled, as she took the folder from my hand. She looked at me with her gaze locked on my frail body, then smiled. "I do need some help, but I doubt you're up to the task." That was the day my whole world changed.

Everything in this world exists in two forms; there is the physical, tangible form we know from our day to day interactions, and then there is the shadow, the reflection, the negative of the physical form. Many spend their days meandering through life, never stopping to consider what may occur in the shadows. These people live their lives in blissful ignorance of the secrets the shadows hold. However, for most, this fact is a nonissue, as in reality, knowing the truth can be far more terrifying…

Chapter 3: Interactions

Brandon-
I walk over to where the guys are at still busy hauling stuff from the house and carefully moving it into the garage. Eli looks over to me and then to Sam’s place. “What’s up?”

“I just met my new neighbor Sam; some little assholes just kinda trashed her place a bit.”

“Why?”

The guys sort of stop what they’re doing to listen in.

“Well she’s a trans girl here in this small town and there seems to be some that can’t handle it.”
