It all started with a chance meeting. One of those times where your life can continue to the good or bad. If you had asked me before that meeting I would have surely answered that it would all be bad; but, as I stand here today, I suppose that I could consider that it went well.

The Story is about how Skyler deals with his changing life. The main character is Skyler (Skye as his sister calls him) who is growing his hair due to his circumstances.
I am sure everyone had a moment in life that impacts your whole livelihood like that Skylar is having his moment, let's see how he will deal with it ......

Jennifer, Jenny as her sisters and friends called her, had been Jerry. She was six foot four and sixteen stone [224 pounds, 102Kg] and had been bullied into a life heavily involved in sport by her school. Though extremely talented at all sport she’d always hated it and had always wanted to dance. After a break down her supportive family had helped her to rebuild her life as a girl. Her new life replaced sport with Scottish Country dancing. This work includes Big Girls do Cry and then the second part picks up her life immediately following her breakdown with I'm Not Crying Now

Introduction by the Author: This is the third chapter of “Genesis: Homecoming” this will conclude the main story and as promised a short epilogue will follow. As I've pondered these reflection. I've discovered memories that are as rich as the coffee grind colored soil of my native home. I'm sure other “Genesis” works beside the three I promise would soon follow. I personally would like to thank each and every one of you who has stuck it out with me as I probe these hidden conclaves of the human soul.

I really should have known what a mistake it was to try to drown my sorrows after being dumped (again). And this time I had made such efforts to make it work.

I really shouldn’t have let Rolf take me to a bar to seek oblivion in the bottom of a glass, or more precisely lots of glasses.

We really shouldn’t have tried to chat up those two freshman girls from The Other University and thus by definition losers.

The only good thing was that Rolf had chosen a bar where we were unknown and unlikely to meet anyone we knew nor ever to return.

The Boy

“I am still shaking from being chosen as an Umbra Girl! I even got a squad and everything. Can you believe it? Me? Of all people? I’m so excited, I just can’t wait till they let me out into the field!”

The boy grew a bit wary seeing the talking dog get rid of his savior. However, his desire to be able to help others had overwritten any trepidation that had taken over him. If only he had power, then he could have saved them. That was all he could think about.

For a small southern town, Benton puts on an amazing number of seasonal celebrations. One of those is the “The Fireman's Summer Fair”. The purpose of the fair is to raise money for our local volunteer fire departments. Benton has three I believe. Our town is really too small to have standing fire fighting force so we depend on local volunteers. In order to raise money, a number of local programs are put on, local youth's display talent shows, each of the three fire stations take turns selling hot plates, anything from smoked chicken to fresh fried fish, even tacos and tamales.

Introduction by the Author: This story is the genesis of what makes me a writer and why I write the way I do. I was inspired by Lanterns on the Levee, and North Toward Home. Both were written by local authors, both wrote of a world in transit. This story is true, I know because I lived it. Pulling this tales from the dark recesses of my mind took courage, and several bottles of spirits. I hope this would the first story in a trilogy of three genesis works.
