The Center : Patient Zero - Part 1

The Center: Patient Zero -Part 1

In the language of epidemiology, patients are numbered sequentially. Once an epidemic goes public it is patient one who gets the news coverage or journal articles written about them. What is less known is that there are unrecognized patients who predate the first acknowledged case. Sometimes these people are carriers, like Typhoid Mary, but oftentimes they are merely the unsung victims who's stories are not tied into the whole until long after the papers are written. Jesse Lee was such a person, this is his story.

Jess

Holly's maid/maid

Chapter 1
"Excuse me, Miss." I waited for her reply. "I'm sorry, young man, but I'm in a bit of a hurry." "Can I help?" I asked, as I bent down to help her gather up several folders she had dropped. "Thank you," she smiled, as she took the folder from my hand. She looked at me with her gaze locked on my frail body, then smiled. "I do need some help, but I doubt you're up to the task." That was the day my whole world changed.

HELP !!!!!

First let me apologize the Staff and Editors. I tried to post two chapters of a story I wrote some time. I have no clue about how HTML works. I tried several times before I got it to look right and hit the submit content button......but oops I didn't clear out the others that didn't look good before I did. So you may have got the first chapter of the same story several times. I have read through a lot of the FAQ but I use Word Perfect so it's bit different from MS word.

Still I am open to any all help as I have more than a few story's I would like to post. Thanks to all. Joe

But the world is not as it seems as Peter is about to discover. I need a proof reader for my sci-fi story

This is a call to those who like to proof read stories. The first book is written of the series The Omega Unicorn Chronicles. I couldn't use the title The Last Unicorn, because there is already a book with that title. Book One is 30 chapters long. Book Two has 31 chapters and still counting. The Third Book is going to wait until Book Two is done. The Rescue Mission will be re-written to reflect books one and two better. I suggest reading the story first before taking it apart. There are rabbit trails and mysteries along the way.

The Runner

The Runner

By Trashy Trisha

Timmy loved to run. He spent every day after school running. He so badly wanted to join the varsity track team but he was too slow. In fact, he was so slow that he barely qualified for the junior varsity team. He wasn’t quite big and strong enough and his strides weren’t long enough to compete.

Luke Barklay had a pretty good life. He was popular enough, did well in sports, and got great grades. Kind of an all American kid. With a good future ahead of him, how will he react when abductors appear and an accident from before he was born turns his life upside down and lands him, new body and all, in The Center? Can he adapt, or will the journey kill him before he even takes the first step?

I was living the good life. It was winter break for one, which meant school was out and the mountains were all right there, just waiting for me...

Monolith: Chapter 1

What really caught Theo's eyes was her lack of belly button and purple-ish eyes that seemed to swirl and mix like a cloud of gas. As she floated closer He noticed freckles scattering her body colored like her eyes and somewhat iridescent. She stopped a foot away from his face and smiled, her silver colored hair floated back and forth while covering her ears. A small nose and soft lips confirmed in Theo that she was beautiful. “This shouldn't hurt” she whispered. It hurt.

Brushing my teeth with the tiniest toothbrush I had ever seen was one of the more amusing upsides of today, although perhaps morbidly so, considering I couldn't use a normal toothbrush anymore.

A New Life - 1 - Chapter One

A New Life

Chapter One

by Melodie

It was the the beginning of the summer of 1962. I came home from the last day of school and entered into my home.

My mother was there and my other siblings were off already playing with other kids in the neighborhood. My older brother Charles was in the local juvenile facilities for some other stupid crime he had committed. My mother was sitting at the kitchen table sobbing and looked at me with a desperate look upon her face.

Grumble: About Secrets

Something that I find uncomfortable which comes up from time to time, especially in first-person stories:

In order to create suspense for the reader, something significant is kept secret from the main character, even though doing so has the potential to stress her out or even panic her unnecessarily.

My purpose in joining Big Closet

For a while, I have been a reader of some of the stories and writers on this site. I have finally decided to begin writing, in blog form, my thoughts on the issues of TG, because I have a problem...

First, a bit about me: I have been struggling with M2F crossdressing for a while. I am not a transsexual, but simply a crossdresser. While I have an urge to dress in female clothes, I have no desire to become a woman. I am a male, and I love girls. However, the desire to dress as a female for a while has affected me for sometime now.

One Summer's Day- Part I

Chapter 1- One Summer Afternoon

My parents were yelling again. I didn’t know whether I wanted to go up and check to see what was going on. No doubt my Dad was being emotionally abusive to my mother. The last time they got in an argument, he smashed her hand in a door on 'accident'. I’ve hated him for that ever since…I think he’s a overgrown boy with a temper, a real selfish sort of tyrant.

Ms. Ashling watched her students stare blankly at their computer screens. She had given her freshman composition class an assignment in which they were to write about an important event in their life. She could see, however, that most of them had little, if any, idea what to write about. She thought to herself for a moment, and then glanced at the beautiful mural that adorned the wall of the school’s library. A smile crept across Ms. Ashling’s face, as she had an idea with which she could inspire her students.

Dormice benefit from wood being made butterfly friendly

Greetings

I just came across the following story on a local BBC web site:

The dormouse population in a Worcestershire nature reserve is growing, as a result of work to make a wood butterfly friendly.

Monkwood nature reserve, owned by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, had 30m (33 yard) rides cleared.

The Point of No Return

Outline: A mainly factual auto-biographical account of my fascination with womens' clothes and crossdressing, and how, what I once thought was a harmless, clandestine kink transformed into a world of intense public humiliation, self humiliation, sexual submission and, ultimately, my irreversible transition to extreme submissive transvestite homosexuality.

School's out

School is out for the summer.
I have survived the first year of nursing school, and have a B+ average.
I only have one year to go.

While I am in school, I really haven't any time to read. I try to catch up during the summer.

The one draw back of summer time is that my kids are out of school, too. That means I am not free to dress however I want.

The Unofficial Incident Report Of Site Y

Captain Ricker is given a second chance for valor after The Battle Of Ricker’s Fields, where higher echelon meddling created a near disaster, to prove himself.

This story started out as an outline for a Ideal and quickly turned into what you are now reading. it’s a little slow with the bulk of the TG starting about a third of the way into the story. Its about people, and not about midnight rendezvous

Marina 12

Another person recently inquired about a Space Opera story they were looking for. This brought to my mind Marina's story The Last Frontier over on Sapphire's. She seems to have left a large portion of her later works unfinished, and I just wondered if anyone ever hears from her, or knows of her, or maybe if something happened to her. She authored quite a few really good stories then just faded.

Hi everybody,

Hi everybody, I'm totally new here. I've been lurking about on this site for the last six months and felt that it was totally rude to keep doing so.The current economy has left me with way too much time on my hands. I'm in absolute awe of the depth and breadth of talent I've found on these pages. I've found absolute joy and total despair. The joy from the courage of many of the authors and their characters; the despair from the revelation that what I've found is also a reflection of the real ME. I've known deep inside myself, since a very early age, that this is what was right for me.

Well, I went to work at Midnight Friday for the Sat shift, and the boss informed me the company had hired two new peple to work with us. We had been working 12 hour shifts on the weekends for coverage without driving people into overtime stats, and we were getting along just fine. Then the company decided (the lady in charge of the area office) that she didn't like the 12 hour shifts, and she hired a thrid body and cut us to 8 hours. That meant myself and the other guy were only getting 16 hours a week....not enough for either of us.

I Don't Like Wednesdays

I don't like Wednesday's

The (Mis)Adventures of Britannia

by Tychonaut Jemima

I'm pretty sure today must be a Wednesday. I say this because I've never really got on with Wednesdays.

Relationship break-up's? Always seem to happen on a Wednesday.

Evenings that my mother calls to tell me she's not getting any younger and she'd really like to see some grandkids? Wednesday evenings.

Mornings when I spill juice down my blouse when getting ready to go to work - yup, you guessed it - Wednesday mornings.

And right here, right now - the day that I encounter the lamest supervillain in existence? Yay me, Wednesday.

Chapter 1

Bailey Summers

This is my first attempt at a story. It is a work of fiction containing some gay, lesbian and transgendered themes as well as adult language and some violence. Permission is granted to post by me, the author. All persons who are depicted here, living or dead are purely by accident.

This is intended to be a love story about two peoples whose lives bridge together and find them together.

I’d love to thank Michelle B for her invaluable assistance.

Chapter 1: Sam.

I woke up with a jolt as my nightmares came to a crescendo. My hand's what did it. The kick of the gun as I fired back killing in my nightmare it's like a phantom limb effect as it twitched with the remembered kick of my Browning 9mm. It's scary, and I stare at that hand once my brain figures out where I'm at. I can still sort of see the face of one of the Afghani Taliban members who had tried to kill me while I was traveling in a convoy with a unit of US soldiers. The wind had come up and blown away his face scarf. He was twelve, thirteen, fourteen years or so at the oldest. I killed a kid. It was a bad ambush and it was self defense …but I still killed a kid.

looking for an editor

I am looking for an editor to review a semi-authorized sequel to Janice the Dreamer's "Team Spirit". I contacted Janice and told her how much I admired the story and that I had a sequel kicking around in my head. She replied, encouraging me to write it. It is a monster (42 chapters, 630+ pages). I had an editor who had to give up the job due to real life time constraints but he gave me some invaluable input and I finished what he started. I'm looking for someone to give the story a final review before release. If there is anyone out there who is interested, please let me know. Thanks.

Please oh Lord give me patience AND talent NOW.

Okay here is your chance at an old newbie. Hows that for an oxymoron?
After reading so many stories and lurking here a thought (hare brained?) came to mind.
'I could do that!' Then reality arrived. Maybe I can do better than some I've read where
it was actually painful to read. No punctuation, no uppercase where needed, etc.
Hopefully won't come across as some no talent idea stealing hack, if I do manage tolerate
the result, I hope to entertain with my submission.

If The Shoe Fits Ch. 1

“Alex. It’s just one night. No one will ever know but us. Please, I’m begging you, do this for me?”

I didn’t say yes. I didn’t say no. I didn’t nod or shake my head. I just let Lara slip my athletic socks off my feet and, one after the other, slide the high-heeled shoes into place.

They fit like they were made for me.

Ride with Gaby or not?

Maddy Bell posted her update as usual with a new chapter from Book 7 on Wednesday, along with the following statement.... "On the writing front I'm suffering not so much from writers block but rather from lethargy! I have started more Jamie but I really need to get to grips with some Nena and Gaby but I must admit that there seems little interest out there in reader land for me to continue with either, maybe they have run their course?

A Tale of Release

A Tale of Release

The story you are about to read is partly fact, partly fiction, and partly faith, only the author knows the truth and others can guess. The basic details revolve around my life and the development of the last few years.

from our own fear,
our presence automatically
liberates others.

Is this Angharad's secret identity?

Angharad and I share a couple of characteristics. We're both Guardianistas and we both ride bikes but I've long suspected that her 'real' identity is ... Lucy Mangam, Guardian columnist. The writing styles are so similar. Take Lucy's contribution this morning as an example and tell me you don't find similarities with the (allegedly) fictional Cameron family in 'Bike' :

Trying to relocate a story

I'm trying to find a story I read awhile back. A 9th grade boy, Butch, is flying to spend the summer with his best friend while his Mom is away working an undercover narcotics operation. He arrives, but his luggage doesn't. His best friend dares him to wear little sister's (Zoe?) one piece bathing suit so they can swim in the backyard pool. While wearing it he is seen by Zoe and her friends, who assume he is a 7th grade girl like them. He plays along and gives them his given name, Stacy.
