‘Daddy, we have gone into hiding, we’re with Claire and her daughter. We’re staying with…’

Chapter 7

Previously...

Just then, a mobile started ringing.

We both looked around. On the bedside cabinet, my burner phone was ringing and vibrating.

I stood up and went over to it.

May you never

[This is an oldie from late September 2010.]

“Stay where you are love. I’ll call for an ambulance,” said the tall man.

“Fuck off and leave me alone,” replied the woman who was obviously injured.

“Nonsense. I can see that you need medical attention. That blow to the head needs some stitches.”

“What are you a fucking doctor or something? Get the hell out of here and leave me alone.”

He laughed.
“No, you don’t understand. I’m a special constable. Just on my way home from a shift.”

An Eventful Life: One of the Girls

Chapter 6 One of the girls

Back at the flat the girls had decided that we would forget the casual looks for this evening and dress ‘to the nines’. So after a quick shower and moisturise I brushed out my hair, really glammed up with heavy evening-out make-up, put on one of my new undie sets, sheer tights, my ‘little black dress’ and some 3” heels, a quick spritz of hairspray and ‘Allure’, grabbed a clutch bag for my essentials, and went out to meet the others.

On being a writer.

This is how it goes. You say, “I’m a writer.” Then they say, “Really‽” You can hear the interrobang in their voice, the compounded question and exclamation marks that say, “An alien, Eh? I never met an alien before!” Which is an example of their reality. Just for God’s sake whatever you do don’t tell them you’re trans too. The shock will kill them, and you’ll be charged with manslaughter. Society has really got it in for trans aliens at the moment. They’re the new gingers.

Ash "the Flash" Johnson was an average kid. Went to school, played football, wanted to get into a career writing webcomics and teaching history eventually. His daily routine consisted of getting up, getting dressed going to school, and going home. He was so entrenched in his routine that there were some things he simply didn't notice.

That was a nice little break for me. There will be another Chapter tomorrow; it is almost done. I am aiming for four this week: Dawn.

Stone

Chapter 23 – Dragons

“Dragons,” Granger spat out when Stone and Rayla approached him after his storytelling session. “There are no dragons in the Green valley.”

“Anywhere else?” Stone prodded.

TRANSPORTER ERROR!

Equipment malfunction has been with mankind since the invention of the wheel. Possibly before with the club, spear, bow and arrows. As science progresses and equipment is in-bedded deeper and deeper into our lives, the one constant is at some point failure will occur. Let's pray the whole tie rod steering mechanism doesn't fall out from under your vehicle while you're traveling down the road. Mine did and it wasn't a story of fiction. Obviously I survived.
This is a tale of one of those equipment failures and it is a story of fiction.

I’m an Imp,

No, no. Not Her, and besides, she's not really one of us, but a mortal mutant.

And no, I’m not telling you my real name. I know an imp who ended up in a magic pen serving some dork who wanted to be a superhero thanks to his real name getting out,

Anyway, on with the story.

There arent many of us left, because humans dont believe in mischievous spirits anymore, which is one reason why I wanted this story written.

An Eventful Life: Showtime

Chapter 4 Showtime

We all met for breakfast in our hotel before setting off, and the boys couldn’t believe how I had been transformed, they even said that they had been out with a lot worse lookers than me, and that they might have to provide a bit of muscle to protect me on our travels.

John, who was a couple of years older, drove us in his Triumph 2000, which was bit of a tight squeeze getting all our costumes and clothes and things in the boot, but as we were only away for a few days we didn’t need much personal stuff, at least the boys didn’t.

That's One

That's One

The young farmer offered his hand to his new bride and helped her up onto the seat of the buggy for the ride back to his farm, her new home. The trip was not unfamiliar to her since she had grown up next door to him on her parent's farm. They were boyhood friends, and now through a twist of fate, they were husband and wife.

No one else in town knew that this girl was the boy who had left home several years before and apparently disappeared. But her husband, he had always loved him, really her, he knew.

One more chapter tomorrow, I hope, then I will break for a few days to let everyone catch up: Dawn.

Stone

Stone 21 – Coming Home

The trip north was slower than the one south, thanks to the two wagons carrying the millstones. Larger as well: there were many emigrants from Sarn heading north, and they were quite willing to travel at a slow pace, in return for protection against the bandits.

Pioneers, part 01 of 15

It was early September — far enough into the school year that the teachers weren’t holding back on the homework, early enough that we still had some pretty nice weather. Which I was missing out on because I was sitting in my room doing homework, that Saturday morning when the world changed and only a few scattered people noticed.

After the strange machine appeared on the lawn at the library, Meredith found it was easy to physically transition to the feminine body she wanted so desperately. But socially transitioning, and getting her parents to go along with it, would be a lot harder.

Kelsey part 26

Brook, Keira, Keely and Karla graduated with honors. Again the whole family was their, including Kelsey and Brooks little ladies. Of course there was an argument on who would hold them. Grandma's won out but relinquished the girls to Great Grandma's about half way through. Although grandpas carried the girls down to meet mommy on the main floor afterwords.
