Just to clarify: Yule Ball is actually on Yule because honestly, having it on Christmas always struck me as stupid because then the students didn't get to go home for Christmas. Fine for people like Harry who in canon didn't have anywhere to go that he wanted to be, but everyone else got the shaft.

Paige called 999 to get an ambulance as well as the police to respond then stopped Anil before he ran off. Anil looked up at Paige and knew that he wasn't going anywhere, but seeing Elise caused him to try to back away in fear before Paige could ask him anything. Elise was told to go back to the car and stay there, she would handle Anil as Elise was just scaring him and making things worse for the boy.

Elisabeth and I watched as Melody and Bonnie were called by one of the teachers. We tried to be patient about having to wait, honest.

I guess another twenty minutes or so had passed when Elisabeth and I finally heard our names being called and responded. It happened to be the same teacher as had called Bonnie and Melody earlier, and we listened as she explained the way classes were organized.

Black Box

I got up Wednesday morning and checked my closet. There were dresses hanging inside and a box with my boots, so that hadn’t been a dream. I fingered the fabric for a second. Considered slipping it on and looking at myself in the mirror.

But today was a tech day, so it was time for jeans, steel toes, and my best underwear.

My best underwear wasn’t very good. Well everything else I promised myself has fallen apart. Am I allowed to buy lingere, or do I have to be over 18?

Life went on, although it sure was different living with the Giacomos than it had been in the hellhole before we were rescued.

For one thing, we were given either food for lunch at school, breakfast and dinner being eaten at home, or cash to buy lunch at school. For another, on the first Saturday after we ended up in their home, Jenny, Jill and I were taken into Duluth to do some girl shopping.

I made a fuss when a nurse told me I had to be taken to the clinic's front doors in a wheelchair, claiming it was the "rules".

I sighed, grumbled that I could walk just fine, then flopped into the seat and scowled as we made our way to the front entrance.

The nurse, her name tag showed Katie on it, dropped me off outside the doors and left me there to sit and wait for my ride. I knew, and had known for a fair while, that Mr. Giacomo hated bullies and bullying with a passion, but I sure wasn't expecting the surprise I received.

Lori said “ go and change into new principal Amazon white dress and sandals”. Principal said “ ok I will go into my new dress and sandals is in the gym where the new girls uniforms are put”. Lori said “ yes they are there”. Principal walks out and headed to get her new Amazon dress and sandals as time approached.

Thrift Shop

I met with the Crew in front of the Auditorium doors after school. It was Tuesday, and I had a shopping trip to go on.

The day before we had finished painting the platforms. Tomorrow we were moving on to set fabrication. Today we were leaving the boys behind, because I needed more clothes.

Mercy's adventure is over, but there are still some loose ends to tie up.

I tried to do that as little as possible, though, but there's a lot more in this one than usual because it was unavoidable. "I'm fine," Ellie mumbled into her pillow, not even opening her eyes to look at her friend.

"Okay," Monique replied, nodding her head as she realised that her presence in the room was not welcome. "We- we'll be outside if you, you know, wanna get up..." The dark-skinned girl sighed as she led Kacey back into the flat's living room, where Janet waited with a look of anticipation on her face.

High school can be challenging at the best of times, but when you're Bianca St. Claire, the new White Lady, and the figurehead of the Family, those challenges can be a little more complicated.
